    Makes perfect sense. Use rage at your own risk. You don't loose hit points due to rage, iow, if you die because rage ends consider you would already have died if you didn't rage to begin with.

    I wouldn't allow an item save since the spell doesn't alter the item in any way. It creates a greasy coating on the item, that's all. Much like glitterdust allows a save to avoid being blinded but not to avoid getting covered by golden particles. Items don't get saving throws to avoid...
