My campaign is into its second year, but this has been rare. Other GM's don't have that kind of staying power, or would rather play a PC. And thats cool with me.

I think thats right. They Typed demons couldnt have names, while the others could.

Thats about right for my campaign. We did 8 levels in about 10 months of playing. Longer sessions, and sometimes we dont get to play, or someone else runs something.

I never heard anything good about 4.0, and when I finally played it, (and I went in hoping for it to be good) I was very dissapointed. When I want to play an overpowered setting, I can make my own.

I agree. I prefer the whole 3.5 setting and rules. I just let them be able to buy lots of healing potions when they are in town.

The world I'm GMing right now has a large % of people who are neutral, or evil. Very little Good. The players are all Evil, or Neutral, and are having fun fighting all the crazy undead I throw art them. A few weeks ago they came across a corpse gatherer fighting a few Meglasaurs...

I gave my PC's a few pieces of chalk that will work like acid but only on stone. They have gotten them out of a few tight places. Also, I stole the idea for the Possible Sword from China Mieville's The Scar.

You could have strange effects like magic being tinted for all but the most holy clerics and palidins.... Magic healing doing -1, -2, or -3 per dice while fire damage magic gets a corosponding bump in damage. Areas of the sky at night have the stars blotted out for no reason that the PC's...

If the kids all hadent just spent lots of $$$ on making sure they they each had their own cool, individual dice, down to ones with special pictures on the faces, I'd go for that.

I only like Hex for large scale maps.... World, continent type stuff. Other than that, I prefer grid.

I think I'm going to re-adjust seating and see how that goes. I'm probably going to call him on it, half jokingly next time to see how he reacts.
