I think the 4E art is horrid. I think some of the design could be great.

The trouble is there can't really be a "base Orc" in the new set-up. It at least needs a role to fill, therefore it will be optimized for that role and not a "base" creature. I just hope the monster design is as open as they claim.

A good way to predict the monsters we will see in the MMs is to look at the mini sets still available from WotC. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of multiple variations on each monster to help the DM, I'm just a bit pissed they're using the DDM monsters for the MM, instead of the other way...

I read somewhere that the pregen characters on the WotC site have been updated, including the fix for the paladin's "mark and run" flaw, but I downloaded them and they are the same as the original scans that leaked from D&DXP. Any ideas?

Huh. I got a few ideas from the racial descriptions. Not so much from the classes section, admittedly. I've never been interested in the planar stuff in the abstract, Planescape was cool, but not that good for me. But again, that's just me.

It's nowhere near as useful as Races & Classes. I don't think it was worth the money, but that's just me.
