    Disintegrate, Vampires, Gaseous Form

No, and I'm flattered. People use the term 'lol' a lot. Sometimes though, you read a post and it draws the attention of everyone else near you in the coffee house. Touched, Inf, positively touched. Consider the compliment returned. Infinitus indeed. :]

    Disintegrate, Vampires, Gaseous Form

I am the DM in question Emphasis mine. I double checked, but I feel I ruled correctly. Wall of Stone will certainly last longer than two hours.

    Identifying Monsters (a skill?)

Play Dead I'd use a Spot check. You don't need ranks in Heal to tell if something's alive or dead, you just need to notice the signs.

    Warmage and Extra Spell

Advanced Learning I would allow a Warmage to take the feat and apply the same restrictions to it that Advanced Learning has, as I agree that seems to set a precedent. This seems like a house rule to me, but also seems to follow the intent of the feat.

    Spiritual Weapon

full attack after a move 1) does the SW get a full attack when it's had to move to follow its current target? 2) does the SW get a full attack when it's moved as a result of being assigned a new target?

Core Rules Turning Vs. Complete Divine Variant

bolstering & turn resistance I've started using this turn variant in our campaign and so far it seems rather powerful. Being the DM, I immediately noted that if the good cleric gets the jump on the evil cleric's undead, they're dust. The evil cleric's healing ability won't help already...

    Web Spell Questions

total cover it's not mist, it's palpable- hence the entangling effect and the checks required to move through it. yes, it blocks light. 20' of web provides total cover and that blocks LoE. does the fact that a wall of stone blocks light make it too powerful?

If a vampire hunter meets a vampire lord...

I'm with Inf on this one if only to be able to provide a sense of drama & tension to the story when this un-dominatable has to resist domination. He'd still wade through the enslaved vampires and the spawn, able to look them all in the eye- yet when he comes face to face with the BBEVL, take...

Does the Fireball spell expand in a narrow corridor?

(on topic) /points at the Sculpt Spell feat for those who are still talking about the topic.

    Conditions Precluding Withdraw or Tumble?

I know. I started that thread and wanted to start this one to take it away from the context of the web spell. While I feel and other agree that someone in a web can't withdraw, I'm now trying to pin down what exactly keeps you from doing either- in hopes that that will help settle the web...

    Conditions Precluding Withdraw or Tumble?

What makes you think an entangled creature can't tumble or take the withdraw action?

    Conditions Precluding Withdraw or Tumble?

Spell Effects Are there any spell effects that, while not putting the target in one of the listed conditions, would keep one from either withdrawing or tumbling?

    Conditions Precluding Withdraw or Tumble?

What, if any, are the conditions that would make one unable to take the withdraw action or to tumble?

    Web Spell Questions

the dm I'm the DM of the campaign in question, and I asked about Web the night after we played. That thread was mostly about withdrawing and tumbling and can be found here: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=129274 As others have said, both the condition and the other effects of the...

    [CD] Turn Variant

It occurs to me that limiting the NE cleric to JUST granting THP weakens them in one respect. THPs don't stack, so while under the normal variant a NE cleric can heal then heal then heal, the THP NE cleric would be limited to 'healing' a total of what they roll. Useless until the undead is...

    [CD] Turn Variant

pulverization But my point was that with bolstering RAW, a mook-level undead could have their effective HD raised, allowing them to be completely unaffected by the positive turn attempt. I'm trying to re-create this possibility using the damage variant. If the NE cleric bolsters and rolls...

    [CD] Turn Variant

not quite the same... I wouldn't say it's basically the same thing. Say you've got two 8th level clerics and a pack of zombies. If the evil cleric bolsters using your method, a single turn attempt by the good cleric will still very likely ash the zombs. Normal bolstering increases the...

    XP for BBEGs

small stuff I hear ya- it's enough trouble running all the bloody NPC's without having to worry about levelling them, too. I use computer aids though, so it's not that hard and I only really spend time levelling NPC's when I'm caught up on my other prep and can do a little extra on the side.

    XP for BBEGs

credible threats It's more that I want them to level in a credible fashion- not just when I want them to. But I take your point- don't so much sweat the small stuff as keep it believable and challenging. I just wanted the Bad Guys to play by the same rules as the Good Guys.

    [CD] Turn Variant

We recently switched to using the turning variant described in Complete Divine. It allows good clerics to do 1d6/cleric level to all undead within 30ft, giving them a will save for half damage- turn resistance is subtracted from the damage. Evil clerics can heal undead the same way. One thing...
