Dungeoncraft article: Shifters in MM, deities mentioned

Could apply to both, really. Silverymoon has always had a dangerous wilderness around it.

Do you like Warforged in your Forgotten Realms?

Right here. Rich Baker saying no Warforged in the Realms. And good catch Ainatan. I bow to your knowledge!

Do you like Warforged in your Forgotten Realms?

Grey Richardson mentioned this over at the WoTC boards. If you check out the preview page of the Grand History called "the Scouring of the Utter East" (page 95) it discusses how the peoples of the 5 kingdoms discovered mysterious ancient "bloodforges", which I presume are the equivalent of...

Way to get girls (?!): the new column for the new Dragon.

I loved it. I thought it was witty and clever, and oh so enjoyable. I am even tempted to buy her book.. and maybe bake some brownies. Whether or not an article like this belongs in Dragon is a different manner, but meh. I'm fine with it there!

D&D 4E Chris Perkins on Forgotten Realms 4e

I rather lack your optimism, as I'm sure your aware by now! ;) I don't think it's too early for information. Sure, if they published major chunks of the new story, then that would be a bit early, and odd. But Grand History of the Realms and The Orc King have been out for a month. If they wait...

    Dragon #360 and Dungeon #151

Merric's like our own personal RSS service. Thanks! There's an idea. Think we can get an RSS feed just for Dungeon and Dragon magazine? WoTC guys? :) P.s. They have put a 'Save my Game' article in the Dungeon section.

D&D 4E Chris Perkins on Forgotten Realms 4e

Fair enough. I think some of the posts, particularly on the FR boards are silly. But it's a small minority, and we shouldn't concentrate on them. I go on the evidence I've seen. So far I've seen their efforts at destroying parts of the Realms, along with the gods. I think the plot behind these...

Did any DM actually RUN the FR that way?

I know I didn't, but there again, I read Concerns of the Mighty, along with Make the PC's the Stars. Bad DM's are Bad DM's, and pop up in any setting. It is not the fault of the setting they play in that they pop up. Blame should be placed appropriately.

    WotC does listen

I'm very happy for the Mini and Eberron fans! Designers being responsive to suggestions from the fanbase is a good thing. :)

Keep your filthy points of light away from me!

And of course, Ed may be just writing backstory and the history of the Realms. Though we just don't know. BlackMoria is 100% correct in his previous post.

Keep your filthy points of light away from me!

Along with the new mechanics, new lore etc. It also makes it easier to access for people coming into the game. I know I struggled to get a 2nd Edition FRCS. I also agree with Wayne's analysis.

D&D 4E Chris Perkins on Forgotten Realms 4e

Hmm, is it perhaps possible to concentrate on Chris Perkins blog, rather then the reaction of one poster on the WoTC boards? And is it additionally possible to not characterise every fan who's responded negatively to these changes as crybabies or soiling themselves. As I said over at the WoTC...

Keep your filthy points of light away from me!

Uh.. yeah? 3 Editions, one for each edition of DnD. It would be a little hard to run the Realms in each edition without it!

D&D 4E Chris Perkins on Forgotten Realms 4e

Some of the posts over at WoTC boards have been a bit silly. The posters do deserve to be banned. Anyway, on the blog.. *sigh*. Bright side first. WoTC just saved me a lot of money!

Who Do You Want Illustrating 4th Ed.?

Hmm, that wasn't exactly my point. My point was that it's an example of how much flesh I want from art of armoured women. I personally quite like it, but meh. YMMV, as they say.

Keep your filthy points of light away from me!

So they have a much larger profile among gamers? Ah, I see where that idea has come from now. I've always viewed that as depth, rather than an obstacle. From my own experience, I simply read the FRCS, which gave me enough backstory to run the Realms. Yes, there may be times when the players...

D&D 4E 4e campaign settings in multiple books?

Separate DM books for the different campaign settings? Good move, if it's a good price. Especially if it concentrates on the fluff.

Who Do You Want Illustrating 4th Ed.?

Firstly, I'd like to thank all the posters on this thread. Found lots and lots of good quality fantasy art here, so kudos! Secondly, I don't mind who's illustrating 4th Edition, as long as it moves away from the Chainmail Bikini idea of female armour. Something like Aribeth's armour from...

D&D 4E Forgotten Realms in 4e - What is the story behind the changes?

Specifics can be found in Grand History of the Realms, or on several threads here. The basics are as follows. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1384 Year of the Three Streams Blooded - Siamorphe and Tyr quarrel over mortal affairs. Siamorphe leaves the House...
