Urban Class Features (Cityscape web enhancement)

Nah, into a blue police box, of course. With a whooshing noise. :p I admit, I wasn't considering the full benefits of the cityshaping ability. Indeed, in a metropolis large enough (Sigil, I'm looking at you), an urban druid would indeed be a very funktastic niche to be.

    No multiclassing penalties?

It is an interesting proposition, certainly. A "full" bonus feat with no limitations is kind of a big benefit, certainly, and certain races are already well-disposed towards taking levels in their favored classes (Dwarves). I'd be persuaded to do something like that for PCs who take a lot of...

What Do You Do For: GUNPOWDER

Easier to use by untrained peasant militia. Especially when compared with longbows (very skill-intensive), but even a crossbow is fairly complex by comparison.

    Eliminating charisma

Personally, I'm in the school of thought that likes to replace poor rules with good rules instead of no rules. Mostly because it takes strain off the DM. D&D is rules-based in most respects, so to me it makes sense to continue using rule mechanics for social skills as well.

Monstrous Races in Sigil - Which Ones?

I'd say that everything neutral has a place in Sigil, at least. Some of the more extreme-alignmented creatures would not tolerate the city, but other than that, it's a free-for-all. A few that haven't been mentioned yet Doppelgangers - At home in cities, true jacks-of-all-trades. Maugs -...

Urban Class Features (Cityscape web enhancement)

Yes, it certainly would. Like merging with statues and going for a stroll, sort of thing.

what is the deadliest Ice/Snow monster

Literally deadliest? Probably the Xixecal (ELH) with its CR 36. Your average walking glacier

What's the problem with bringing PCs back from the dead?

Well, Captain Jack dies multiple deaths during the first season of Torchwood. That probably wasn't quite what you had in mind, though. The problem I have with revivification magic is that in most settings, it's pointless from the character's point of view. They're dead, in heaven, indulging in...

Urban Class Features (Cityscape web enhancement)

I find the idea of a Druid wildshaping into an Animated Object to be incredibly goofy. Turning into an animated sedan chair, pillar, mailbox or a paving stone just doesn't have the je ne sais quoi.

    The "Build"

I intensely disagree. In a story, who the characters are is always the main point. Without it, you end up with bland, featureless puppets doing everything, i.e. the D&D equivalent of a Chuck Norris movie.

What would you do if someone died?

An intensely hypothetical question, but yes, I believe I would. That's just the way I'm wired. I.e. wrong. And no, I don't have any friends, so the point really is moot.

What would you do if someone died?

Personally, I couldn't keep playing D&D at all after something like that. I'd have to take a break of at least several years, maybe indefinitely.

Fiendish Codex II next month--Any scoop/rumors/etc.?

"Minauros City"? Sheeee-eesh. I am disappointed more and more.

    Where are the angels?

Another good explanation is the notion of cosmic balance. The Rilmani don't allow Metatron & Co. to start messing with the Prime without evening the cosmic odds some way.

Fiendish Codex II next month--Any scoop/rumors/etc.?

Oh bollocks. That sounds disappointing, like someone's taken all the intriguing side plots away from our favorite Infernal denizens. What next? Declaring A'kin's alignment out loud in FC3? (thankfully, I don't think we're in danger there)

    Hazing Ritual

My personal magic 8-ball suggests you're on to something here. There are so many options for the core classes that I'm beginning to wonder if there is such a thing as too much flexibility.

    Your favorite nonstandard races?

For me it's Kenku and Githzerai. The former because they've decent stats for rogues, the latter because of their backstory.

Fiendish Codex II next month--Any scoop/rumors/etc.?

As someone who was writing a very ambitious NWN mod about a millennia-long Asmodeus vs Lucifer grudge match for the control of the Hells, I'm definitely going to buy this one..

    "Best" non-core 4 character party?

Approaching from the opposite angle, what would be the worst group that still had four distinct character roles? :-) Somehow, I guess it'd have a Soulknife...

Is casting Evil spells an evil act?

I vote Yes, but I feel some spells should not be Evil in the first place. Deathwatch among them, since it provides only knowledge to the caster and doesn't do anything directly harmful to anyone.
