Eh, it still loses access to Daggermaster, which is still the strongest Rogue PP. :) Overall, the Thief is fine. It trades burst damage for consistency and surviveability. E-strikers as a whole greatly suffer from lack of burst damage in heroic.

FantasyGrounds 2 is, IMO, the best VTT out there... but it isn't free. MapTool is by far the best free one.

My rogue had CA without flanking when it was just PHB1. Ranged attacks with Deft Strike. If there's a place to stealth, DS = easy CA.

That's basically how I feel about the scout. A scout with fighter mc and the shock trooper PP is about as potent as a e-striker gets. Trade out the pp power for ruffling sting... and it gets real nice.

I couldn't stand a slower paced game, myself. Need to show some signs of advancement. If there's no change in my character at all after too long, the game grows stale. Also, keep in mind, there are 30 levels in 4e.

The only downside to the thief, which basically all e-strikers share, is lack of nova potential throughout heroic. This all changes with reserve maneuver at paragon, though.

There is a level 17 fighter power that disarms the target, but there are no actual mechanics for doing so outside of using a power. It's basically way too overpowered of an ability to continuously use, but the DM could use page 42 if needs be.

Umm... that's the entirety of 4e. Not just essentials. The OP's question is regarding the older AEDU 4e stuff to the newer essentials model.

I just find it odd that certain people managed to fix all the bugs, and fully update the old CB in 2 weeks, though it isn't legit. Still, it's the principle. WotC hasn't been able to get this thing working in over 2 months.

Perhaps Essentials didn't do as well as they thought, and they need to change directions again? I liked most of what appeared in there, but it's just a thought.

It was always the first tuesday of the month. They went to the 3rd tuesday during the holidays last year, and I suspect they're doing the same thing this year. The only difference is that last year they told us about it. They don't communicate much anymore.

Twin Strike still outdamages every other at-will. It doesn't need the dex modifier. It applies all static damage twice, besides dex. 2d10 without dex is better than 1d10+4 or 5. Especially once the static mods start stacking up. Also, having 2 attacks is ~ equal to +5 or so to hit. So Twin...
