To me, the very fact that the player replies, 'but neither am I' belies that it's implicit in the original question that the player must be indeed next to the enemy. However I agree that the phrasing could be a lot better. :) I tried to look it up the feat on the Compendium and the CB, but...

You're right, my mistake.

By that same token why put in 'other than you' in the first place? "You gain combat advantage against enemies that have no creatures adjacent to them." <--- This is what it would have been worded as if it would allow ranged. "Other than you" was included to state that you're the only one next...

Your analogy is flawed, cause it denotes a permission, not a condition. The 'have' in the feat wording says is a condition, so that means it must be fulfilled, it's not an either or MAY situation. Let's put it another way: "The apple is yours as no else is next can reach it other than you."

The thing is, at the bottom of the power card, when using power builder, it displays the damage. From my experience it usually doesn't do that if it's a conditional damage.

Yeah I had the same problem, which drove me to search for the youtube version. They shouldn't bother with their own site's and just load it on youtube.

Hey guys, I'm a DM and was wondering if I was ruling Bond of Censure correctly. Does the hit have it's own damage component, then the conditional of the enemy ending it's turn adjacent to the Avenger is another damage component? For a total of 2D10 damage? Thanks!

Mort's 4e combat manager is the best. Was glad when DarkSir restarted work on it but he seems to have disappeared too. But he did update it enough so we could use the new Monster Builder format, which is great. Hope someone takes it under their wing again.
