    Ideas for a thief/swashbuckler.

I think you'd end up happier a Swashbucler 3/ Rogue 7 as Swashbucler is awful after level 3.

    Speed Freak

Vanara have a climb speed. Nezumi have a 40' land speed. Your best bet for race is an ex-Nezumi Dragonborn of Bahamut, for access to the improved speed feat from the Drconomicon.

    Playtested a warmage? Any good?

I never said that Warmages are useless out of combat. I said that they have the least broad and flexible array of options of any primary spellcaster. additionally the Warmage lacks the game changing and/or broken effects available to other spellcasters. A Warmage will never call in an ally that...

    Playtested a warmage? Any good?

If all you're going to be doing is the same damage as a Fighter, why accept the fragility and limited endurance of an arcanist? A Sorceror can do anything a Warmage can do so closely to as well that you'd never notice the difference. All while being ready and able to do many other more useful...

Why Do Clerics Have More Spells Per Day Than Wizards?

Wizards are assumed to be specialized, thus having the same number of spells per day as a cleric of the same level.

Using a Beholder for the first time.

It seems to me that a Beholder constitutes an inherent violation of this agreement. Is it too late to rewrite the adventure (and your campaign world) to include no beholders?

    Playtested a warmage? Any good?

Warmage is the weakest Base class with spellcasting up to ninth level, by a fair margin. They're an acceptable class because spellcasting is awesome, but they basically only know one magical effect: Hurt stuff. They also work poorly as fighter fighter/mage types as Hurting Stuff with spells...

Extradimensional Spaces within Extradimensional Spaces? Always dangerous or not?

The rule is a holdover from first edition when PC's often had too many bags of holding to carry. I'd just ignore it.

Why Do Clerics Have More Spells Per Day Than Wizards?

Clerics know more spells relative to Favored Souls than Wizards do relative to Sorcerors. Favored Souls have a split casting attribute. Thus Favored souls need the extra goodies.

Beginning the game with +1 HD of Expert

By requiring all characters to take their level that gets 4 times skill points as a class with fewer skill points and a shorter skill list and requiring them to waste those skills on things that don't give them the ability to fulfill their role in the party.

Evening out the Arcane vs Psionics for damage

You want Wizards to be equal to Psions in power? Eliminate the cream of the Wizard spell list. Move all the cantips up to first level and cut or push up in level any non-damaging effect that outpowers them, move up the levels similarly until for ninth level spells all thats left is Summon...

    PHB Armors in 3.x

Padded: Never seen it. Leather: Used by Druids until/unless they get Dragonskin and by people who want to avoid an armor check penalty at all costs (some rogues, people without armor proficiency who don't suffer spell failure) until they can afford better. Studded leather:Used as MW by some...

Rod of Seven Parts Info Request

In first edition the Rod had all balnk spaces that the DM could fill with entries from the big list of suggested artifact powers. So whatever powers you want it to have really.

Orbs vs. Evocations II- with level by level data

Did you take into account the -4 for shooting into melee? Did you take into account the cover bonus monsters get from your party-mates? Between those, I really think you are overestimating the hit chance of Orbs. Did you take into account the ability of area effect attacks to harm more foes?

    How to un-cheese D&D?

But you didn't write Iron Heroes. Mearls wrote it, and he's a better designer than you. You don't advertise Iron Heroes as Dungeons & Dragons (with houserules) You can advertise Iron Heroes as Iron Heroes, there will be people who know what you mean. Strangers cannot know the preferences and...

    How to un-cheese D&D?

I think you have three options: 1>Modify the D&D rulesset until it fits your preconceptions. This has no advantages over the other options, is a lot of work will create huge balance problems and renders it almost impossible to solicit player without false advertising. I do not recommend this...

Handling a Mob without DMG II?

Don't use Mobs, they are nonsensical and overpowered. you want alot of commoners, use alot of commoners. High level enough level PCs will win pretty handily, but if you don't want a game where the PCs can easily defeat weak foes run a lower level game.

Too powerful? What am I missing... (please help)

I have seen this claim repeatedly, but examination of the stats of astral constructs and the creatures on the summoning lists leaves me wondering how anyone could possibly believe it. Prove it sir.

Too powerful? What am I missing... (please help)

For a value of overpowered that is significantly weaker than core spellcasters overall, sure. Psions and Wilders can often sometimes outperform core spellcasters in blasting, however given that they are weaker than core spellcasters at everything else (it's easier to build an arcane spellcaster...
