Not quite true. The knowledge (Religion) requirement can't be fulfilled until rogue 3 (although, you could go Cleric 1, Rogue 1 and fulfill the requirements maybe? I don't think you'd have the skill points to do it, though.)

Well, it is CR 35. At 35th level you should have some fairly hefty ACs in the party, which will negate SOME of the Power Attack. Thank goodness it uses a longsword rather than a greatsword.
