Anyone got any good ideas for a Song of Ice and Fire Campaign?

My first campaign, I had the players start before Robert's Rebellion and had them navigate their way to the top. The angle I took was that the players were a family of serfs somewhere in the Stormlands. The first couple of sessions focused on travelling with a the hunting party of Lord Lomouth...

    HLTW Homebrew.

Sentient Beings Humans: Humans range from 6 to 7 ft tall and come in all manner of shapes, colours and culture. They live in tribal or feudal societies often in clustered housing called villages. Some humans claim to be half-breeds of other beings but generally each tribe or kingdom has it's...

    Alternative alignments

Hmm, thanks for the advise guys. I'm not looking at them for mechanical purposes though, it's more of a guideline so that the players can play characters with some focus and not flip-flop all over the place. I think I might just have to create some loose ideological text for them instead though.

    HLTW Homebrew.

Technology The world is currently in it's Medieval period with Mauros somewhere between the Iron and Dark ages in real world periods. The wheel has not been invented and as such transport is heavily equestrian with some cultures preferring ox or flightless birds. Trade goods are carried by...

    Alternative alignments

I'm not so much a fan of the six alignment system but since I'm starting a new game with brand-new players I want to give them some sort of guideline. Especially when roleplaying with the world's societies, since judicial ideologies will play a part in the campaign. I'm not that familar...

What's your favorite RPG that you've never actually played?

Dragon Warriors, I remember thinking it could replace DnD as my fantasy game of choice. Unfortunately nobody else was interested. I also looked over Wild Talents which, on face value, feels like it could top my list as well.

    Wild Talents

I haven't heard a lot about this but from what I scanned at my FLGS it looks really interesting. I'm wondering if anyone here plays? Opinions about the game? What's the prep-time like? And are there any online communities supporting it?

Alternative: Girls (females) in D&D/ Roleplaying

That's one way of looking at it. My girlfriend and female gamers all love Seoni. They think it's a good depiction of how a "girly girl" can still be strong, confident and an adventurer. I can see how people would think it's sexist but I also don't presume to know better than my female friends...

    HLTW Homebrew.

Okay, so here is the over-view. I've been looking at a lot of world building blogs and found that I'd try the top-down technique. Setting/Geography The campaign takes place on Mauros which is roughly the shape of South-East Asia (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand) while being roughly half...

    Is Greyhawk Relevant?

I haven't been playing as long as some people and I don't really have a great knowledge of DnD like others in this thread but I guess I fit the bill for a modern gamer. I've always played in Greyhawk every since my first game which was in Living Greyhawk. My current 4E campaign is in Greyhawk...

    HLTW Homebrew.

A work in progress. This is my first homebrew, after years of running Greyhawk, I've decided to try something different. A campaign world that challenges the players in four areas, mainly intrigue, heroic/ cinematic combat, the frightening unknown and surviving insanity/mutation. Any...

No buzz for the 2011 Campaign Setting?

I'd like to see a seafaring setting something like Ptolus where the world is mostly water. We've had wastelands, wars, space, quasi-medieval Europe but nothing really focusing on a primarily oceanic-world.
