    D&D 5E (2014) Do Fighters Still Suck?

Fighters are the best there is at what they do... what they do is fight. I do sometimes wonder if the designers want most well rounded non caster to be fighter/thief multi class

D&D 5E (2014) With the reintroduction of PrCs which are on your 'must see' list?

all great suggestions... anything that gets birthright off the back burner and front and center is gold in my book

D&D 5E (2014) Open Interpretation Inspirational Healing Compromise.

I think that the game has more in common with 2e then 3e but diffently with lots of 3e and saga (starwars not the cards) influence with a little (I think too much) 4e influence. If I had to place % I would say it's 60% a mix of 1e/2e and 30% 3e influenced....

    D&D 5E (2014) Dex-based greatsword?

you know after sleeping on it, I wonder why a rogue with a 2 handed 2d6 dex weapon is soo bad... I took 5th 9th and 13th level and did some math.... 5th dagger 1d4+3d6 short sword 4d6 rapier 1d8+3D6 the 3d6 average is 10.5 even the d8 is average 4.5... 3/4 the damage is sneak attack not...

D&D 5E (2014) With the reintroduction of PrCs which are on your 'must see' list?

that's why I like the idea of becoming a chosen... a fighter picked by a god or war, a wizard for a god of magic, or with a really good story the reverse.... I have seen wizard and see no reason one can't be made like the rune guy with there own spell casting so a fighter or monk could pick it...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dex-based greatsword?

but a ranger focusing on archery+ finess greatsword=fine... ANyway I came back with a suggestion... have an elven smith working with mithril make a light weight finess greatsword...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dex-based greatsword?

I will say that if presented in a book a finesse 2 hander would lead to broken and abusable situations, in a home game as a one off it isn't to bad. If the player isn't a powergamer my suggestion would be go for it. in 3e there was a two handed rapier, and in the real world dex is way better in...

D&D 5E (2014) Open Interpretation Inspirational Healing Compromise.

OK, lets take everything else out of the edition... it was the most different, things from it don't fit in 3e or 5e, regardless of if it was awesome or suck

    D&D 5E (2014) What is a Warlord [No, really, I don't know.]

ok, I can kinda agree. yea and if I don't like spellcasters D&D isn't really for me... I bet there are such people (I don't personally care) I think one of the warlord guys says that he is totally not into religion... good on him... and if you have any of those issues you need to address...

D&D 5E (2014) With the reintroduction of PrCs which are on your 'must see' list?

that could be interesting... a prc that has a small set of powers that are interchangeable based on the god who's agent you are...

D&D 5E (2014) Persuade, Intimidate, and Deceive used vs. PCs

you just wont give up with this "your wrong thing..." sounds good to me... I think I'm the only one who suggested you use it, and it was totally 'try it before you diss it' not 'you should do it all the time'

    D&D 5E (2014) What is a Warlord [No, really, I don't know.]

Here is the thing, it isn't just 'A' silly thing, but something that falls over into the rest of the game... I could agree with you if it was "Hey I want to refluff my wand of magic missle as a ray guy" (man I wish I was just pulling that at random) then 7 charges per day of auto hit xd4 damage...

D&D 5E (2014) With the reintroduction of PrCs which are on your 'must see' list?

Incantrix was a good choice but so was the lore master and the daggermaster

D&D 5E (2014) Open Interpretation Inspirational Healing Compromise.

said edition was the shortest run and vastly changed the way D&D was played (weather you liked it or not) so it is far from proven it's possible

D&D 5E (2014) Primeval Thule - GM Companion - Optional Rules... what would we like to see?

I would love a full out new spell casting mechanic more like a mix of world of darkness sorcerer and call of cathulu...

    D&D 5E (2014) What is a Warlord [No, really, I don't know.]

The warlord was one of the biggest mistakes in D&D history. When they made 4e they took a look at the way kids where playing MMOs and tried to duplicate it. They designed a grid of class styles Tank DPR Leader controller across the top and martial arcane divine druidic and mental down the side...

D&D 5E (2014) Are players always entitled to see their own rolls?

my first rule of gameing is if you don't trust the person next to you, the game is going to take a major hit. This means passing notes and secrete rolls while they have a place should never be used only because you think your players will metagame. Having said that if used well they are useful...

D&D 5E (2014) Persuade, Intimidate, and Deceive used vs. PCs

it is your view mine is different, I can use your way or mine, but with my current players your way would not work. Neither is right or wrong an neaither takes anything away from the game///

D&D 5E (2014) Persuade, Intimidate, and Deceive used vs. PCs

OK, I took a piss break and now am going to try again iserith... imagine a game where you want to have an orc try to intimidate the players, and think he should have a chance... have that scenero in your mind and think about everything you say and do. You don't force the players to act or play...
