    ideas for white necromancer

This is only sort of the right topic ... but its always seemed to me that so long as those you raise come willingly, then its at least non-black necromancy. Like say ... an necromancer wizard who runs a city state. His people may never need worry about enlistment into military service, or even...

    Crazy Caster Prc... broken?

I think the Mystic Theurge has no flavor. Therefore, for most games, it should be made to have flavor. So more power to ya. Sounds like you've got a good starting point ... but why specifically a magic deity? That'll pretty well limit them to one deity per world.

Sorcerer Fix - Continued from "D&D Rules"

It looks like you changed the spell known. But i don't remember that from the origional. Did you indeed change the spell/day, or did i misread? Imho, keeping the current spells/known should be ok -- less work to change, and you don't get much out of changing it.

So what's this Fighter/Mage/Thief thing all about?

or just go cleric with magic and trickery domains. Sure, simple weapons. So? If necessary, pick up a martial weapon prof.

Any reason outside of Roleplaying that someone would pick Half Orc over Human?

i say half-orcs make the best fighters. Fighters are all about strength, about crushing your enemies and seeing them driven before you. Dwarves on the other hand ... are the bestest barbarians ever. Barbarians can take a lickin, and the +2 con just reinforces that. but, just imho.

    Sweet, fun TPKs.

I didn't really scale it against the higher level ones -- but an average was come for. Unless, of course, the random monster roll suggested something really stupid high -- like the CR +5, which is where the tpk's came from. Afterwards, I had them make up 20th level characters. A sorcerer...

    Sweet, fun TPKs.

3 TPK's in an hour and a half. Alright, this probably belongs in the Story Hour forum, but its not really a story. I set up a DnD game today, primarily because it is super bowl sunday. I had all the PCs be from the same place, just to make it easier. Here was character creation: d6 for race...

Tell me if you think this class is balanced.

one thing i noticed off the top of my sleep deprived brain is: no spellcasting progression. I know, low magic world. But you want it to appeal to your sorcerer and your cleric. And without any spell-casting, i do not believe it will. My cleric woudn't take it, neither would my insane sorcerer...

Constitution - The Most Important Ability Score of the Game?

I always figured the stats were grouped thusly: int/con -- the internal hardiness. wis/dex -- defense, that sort of thing str/cha -- influencing the world, whether by arms or by force of personality. I might run a game that is actually DnD but not tell anyone -- just have the stats grouped like...

Constitution - The Most Important Ability Score of the Game?

Strength is how much you can extend your might into the world. Constitution is how hard it is for you to be hurt. Both are definetly physical stats. Strength is offensive, dexterity is defensive, and constitution is internal. More or less. But point is, those three are definetly physical stats...

    The Misunderstood Paladin

"2) Paladins can't lie: This is an offshoot of the Knight's code..." Here's why this sticks around and probably should: Immanal Kant. While in the real world, ethics are going to vary from person to person and the entire field of ethics is somewhat chaotic (don't forget nobody really knowing...
