To be fair, the Concorde had its maiden flight in 1969. Btw, will the French version of the game have a different title? I can imagine that the French won't be too thrilled about an English title for a game set in France!
I was living in suburban Ohio during the 80s and I only knew about the Satanic Panic from the media. although they tended to focus more on the supposedly psychologically damaging effects of the game than on the religious issue. None of the parents of my fellow players had anything against D&D...
The names of the deities are rather weird. Luckily, they can be easily converted back to their real Greek versions, e.g. Helios instead of Heliod (ugh!) and Thalassa instead of Thassa.
Nice, but will there ever be any 5e source books for ancient Mesopotamia, India, or the pre-Roman Celtic lands? Egypt isn't exactly well-served either.
I've watched the first episode of the show. I don't know what to make of it atm. One gripe of mine: The series is supposed to be set in Ohio, but the landscape doesn't look at all like it (the show is filmed in Canada). It would have been better if the Loop had been located in northern Michigan...
Tbh, when I read "Action-Adventure Roleplaying in the Franco-Belgian Comics Tradition," it didn't make me think of Spirou or Blake & Mortimer, but of Lefranc and Buck Danny. They were, of course, contained in the Tintin and Spirou magazines,.
The regular cover looks better suited to a Greek-themed setting. The other cover looks like it could be used for a Manual of the Planes or Deities & Demigods book.
Although it has nothing to do with ancient Greece, I'd love to play a medieval "wildman" - I guess it's as close to a historical male "nymph" one could get.
