    [Red Spire Press] OK...it's May

Oh, don't think we can be mollified by cosmetic upgrades -- it's gaming meat we crave!;) Sure, I understand completely. But if not game information directly, how about some quick info about Red Spire Press itself -- who you guys are, what your gaming experience is, what your inspirations are...

    [Red Spire Press] OK...it's May

So where's me update? See what happens when you toss your hat in the d20 ring with such a cool concept? Impatient (albeit good natured) fans. ;)

    Underworld

Hmm, it is starting to look familiar (e.g. as mentioned Matrix, Blade, et al), but the opening sequence with the rain and the flapping black leather coat really put me in mind of "The Crow". Nothing but a good thing. Add Kate Beckinsale in the lead, and you have a brand new convert. ;)

Scarred Lands: None Dare Call Them Heroes (updated 12/07/03)

Revel in the imagery! It took me a while, but I eventually caught onto the Sunless Citadel connection. But it's all good to me. I've every confidence that jonrog1's adaptation of Orc and Pie would be as just as much fun to read. Bring it on.

FotR and Sausages! (...or Movies and Food)

I confess to being fairly susceptible to such urges. To wit: - I had an overwhelming urge to try a glass of Irish whiskey after watching 'Waking Ned Devine'. Let's just say I'm perfectly happy back with Guinness now. - I read 'Lonesome Dove' on a three-month field job and absolutely had to...

Casting call for "song of Ice and Fire"

Hmm. My personal opinion is that she's a bit too old and too brunette. However, she must be in there somewhere! Maybe she shows up later as an adult Sansa...? Hard to say, since we don't know what the future holds for the lass.

Scarred Lands: None Dare Call Them Heroes (updated 12/07/03)

So as not to hijack this terrific story thread, I'll just direct you to a couple of other relevant threads on the Fantasy & Sci-Fi Books, Movies and TV board: http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47078 http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39869 I feel...

Scarred Lands: None Dare Call Them Heroes (updated 12/07/03)

Outstanding. That's exactly what I needed. Many thanks. Tell me about it, brother. As much as I respect the hue and cry over the cancellation of Farscape, Firefly hit me much harder. But I suppose that's a subject for another forum entirely... I forgot to comment on this before. I'm...

Scarred Lands: None Dare Call Them Heroes (updated 12/07/03)

Hoary plot device or no, this update is the most fun I've had all week. "...obsessively murderous gates..." I love dis place! So when can we see the gang in the Rogue's Gallery? I'm having only the slightest trouble keeping them straight.

Casting call for "song of Ice and Fire"

Ah, that reminds me. I'd had Brian Thompson pretty well inked in for the Hound. Lots of experience in make-up as a muscled up bad guy (Buffy, Star Trek, etc.). Wincott's an intriguing choice however...

Casting call for "song of Ice and Fire"

What the heck, I'll play. Here's a few that stuck with me through the books. Hope I get the names right; it's been a while. Daenerys -- Julia Stiles Caetlyn Stark -- Joanne Whalley Eddard Stark -- Liam Neeson Cercei Lannister -- Monica Potter Jamie Lannister -- Heath Ledger (seriously) Qhorin...

[PR Red Spire Press] More preview art from Dark Legacies on the website

Ah, some more tidbits dribble out. Good, good stuff. I think my biggest question now relates to the technology level of the setting, and whether the tech aspects will have the potential to overwhelm the fantasy aspects. And are there some hints that the setting is post-apocalyptic perhaps...

    [OT] Good Bad B Movies

I'm a sucker for The Legend of Boggy Creek, a docu-drama about the Fouke Monster, a Bigfoot-like creature in the swamps of southwestern Arkansas. I can watch it today, as a 34-year old adult, and still have the bejeezus scared out of me. Musta been the trauma from the original viewing... A...

[Red Spire Press] new website and preview art

I know what you mean. It sounds like the entire magic system is getting a serious revamp in the process. While there are a number of alternate magic systems out there now, I'm curious to see how they take this one and integrate it into a stand-alone campaign setting.

Outstanding picture. Very successfully whets the appetite for more. So... are those flies buzzing around his head, attracted to the beastly burden on his back? Any more you can tell us about the handsome fella?

[PRESS] A Song of Ice and Fire RPG by Guardians Of Order

Potential (minor) spoilers Well, essentially my response to this is, "FINALLY!" ;) But the announcement has me curious... It's obvious that the setting is key to the product line, but how much role will the canon story play? Is the idea that player characters will be involved (at...

Scarred Lands: None Dare Call Them Heroes (updated 12/07/03)

Quick question -- is Argent a PC? The other four I have figured out, but Argent has me stumped. Outstanding story hour, as usual. By the way, you can't see me, but I'm actually rubbing my hands together with glee at the prospect of your new website. Way, way too much potential coolness...

[PR] Red Spire Press announces Dark Legacies

New month, new art?? I can't find any more of Adrian Smith's work elsewhere on line, so anything new would be most appreciated.
