    D&D 5E (2014) FGG Lost Lands: Borderlands is 5e

Cyclopean Deeps is not an adventure path, it's a sandbox of about 12 main adventures with maybe another 30 or so lairs, all linked by a network of long tunnels that can be explored in pretty much any order. There are actually several over-arching "plots" going on, rather than a single one.

Pathfinder 1E [Frog God Games] Borderland Provinces Kickstarter Launched

Frugal Financial Tip: there are pledge levels for players to buy their OWN resources so you don't have to fund the entire event. If they get together into a group pledge level, they also get a discount on the price.

    D&D 5E (2014) FGG Lost Lands: Borderlands is 5e

We've already got 379 backers, so we're looking for about 100 more game masters who enjoy running sandbox-type adventures! One nice thing is that we have player packs as well, so you can tell your players to go and buy their own gazeteers and so on without you having to foot the bill for their...

[Frog God Games] Borderland Provinces Kickstarter Launched

For Swords & Wizardry, which is to say 0e, Frog God Games has launched the Kickstarter for the Borderland Provinces, the campaign area that includes Rappan Athuk and the Lost City of Barakus. It's also in 5e and Pathfinder versions, but for OSR purposes you'd want the Swords & Wizardry version...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

Here's one, as an example: SPOILER ALERT Here, the red-robed members of the Order of Teeth inspect skeletons in the catacombs, using the Book of Ossuic Marks and the Astrologicus Carnum to identify where unknown patterns of magic and fate are taking place in the world. The ritually...

    D&D 5E (2014) FGG Lost Lands: Borderlands is 5e

We had a great question about the 5e version of Borderlands on another thread, about the general flavor of the campaign and the basic approach to this book specifically, from someone who hasn't previously gotten any of the Frog God Games products. Here's from the answer I gave: First, the...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

Ah, gotcha. The "dark medieval" thing is something I just posted about. If you're familiar with Clark Ashton Smith's Averoigne, that's what's meant. Fairly "ordinary" fantasy world with underlying elements of horror is a good nutshell description. It is lower magic than the Forgotten Realms in...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

Hi Matthan, thanks for the question! Let me see if I can answer this well without making reference to past products, since as you point out the major ones aren't (yet) available for 5e. I'll stick to the two main books in the Kickstarter, the Borderland Provinces (Campaign book) and Adventures...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

YES! And we've really been stinting the Adventure Book on the publicity, frankly. We will remedy that once the free module clears the gate, because the adventures are true works of art.

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

The campaign guide contains a couple of new monsters, but no "new rules" for any of the 3 systems. There are a number of lairs in the book, so the different systems for resolving skill-like tasks are adapted to take advantage of a specific system. And of course all the NPCs and monsters in the...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

Since WotC doesn't have a license for third-party publishers, we're under the rules of the OGL, which don't allow us to publish anything that interacts with someone else's trademarks (like "Forgotten Realms" specifically). So no, sadly, we can't offer any guidance about how to integrate the areas.

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

Here's a bit more information: We're planning on launching the Borderland Provinces Kickstarter for the core region of the Lost Lands campaign on October 15, 2 days from now. Many people have asked about pricing: the answer may be a very nice surprise: (1) The Basic Campaign Price is $12 Yes...

D&D 5E (2014) The Lost Lands: Borderland Provinces

"Dark Medieval" is a good description, it's like Clark Ashton Smith's Averoigne stories. Borderland Provinces is the first specific 5e book for the campaign, and when the Kickstarter launches in a couple of days you'll be able to get a good feel for it, plus a free module is going to be released...
