    Which Polyhedral Are You?

I noticed that if you leave any questions unanswered, you get the d4 result.

    Which Polyhedral Are You?

First, take this quiz. Then answer the poll. Just curious which die result would be the most common. I came out as a d20, myself.

longspear set vs. charge & AoO?

But would the second attack also be double damage (since the foe is still charging)?

    New Ranger Combat Styles

I've always wanted to see a two-handed weapon style for rangers, but can't think of 3 feats that would make this work.

    Civilizing the Barbarian

Heh; now I want to play one. Drop the HD to d10 and naybe they'd even be balanced.

Races of the Wild game use?

I don't have the book in front of me, but I think the same applies to halfling rogues who take the substitution level. For example, a 5th-level rogue has 3d6 SA damage. A halfling with the substitution level attacking with a thrown dagger would get 4d6 damage instead. If he were trying to SA...

    Appropriate Forum for Character Concepts?

What forum is appropriate for discussions about character concepts for hypothetical characters? I'm talking fluff, not crunch, so not i the rules forum for sure. Rogue's Gallery doesn't seem appropriate, since it's just a character concept. Thanks!

    Lot's of General in General

I would rename the "General" category to "Other". I think "General" implies that it could be about anything, whereas "Other" implies something that's not on the existing list. Just MHO. :)

Races of the Wild game use?

Because it balances out. More damage for SA for a thrown weapon, and less for a meele SA. A halfling would perfer to do the thrown SA if possible, anyway to get the advantage of his DEX and thrown weapon bonus.

Can illusions be used to provide a flanking bonus?

Well there are also no rules for disbelieving things that are real, so one may TRY to ignore one opponent in this manner, but it won't work: you still reflexively react to both opponents.

Can illusions be used to provide a flanking bonus?

I don't have a ready rules reference to prove it, but common sense would tell me that falnking would work here, because the foe has to divide his attention between the illusion and real creature. The same would apply for two illusions in flanking positions around a foe so long as he believes...

    Cool ideas for living spells

I love the living spell "template" from the Eberron Campaign Setting, and I'm going through spell lists trying to find a fun spell to use as a basis for one of these creatures. I was just wondering if anyone has found a spell that makes for an interesting creature using this template. I'm...

A few silly questions about the Favored Soul.

Sure, the FS has a lot of disadvantages compared to the cleric, but they also gain weapon specialization, 3 types of energy resistance, all good saves, wings, and damage reduction. I think the two classes are balanced; it's just that the cleric is more front-loaded, and the FS gets his...

    D&D 3.x 2nd ed. Skills & Powers Stats for 3.5

Edit: Looks like I was too slow! I don't have it in front of me, but I found a S&P character sheet on the web. Here are the substats: STR: Stanima, Muscle DEX: Aim, Balance CON: Health, Fitness INT: Reason, Knowledge WIS: Intuition, Willpower CHA: Leadership, Appearance HTH

Ever play a single race campaign?

I haven't run one or played in one, but now I have an idea for one where a town decides to exile all half-orcs from the city based on their heritage. It would also solve the part of how you would introduce the PCs, and why they band together. I doubt any of my players would be interested...

    Making class skills more flexible

Does anyone have any houserules for making class skill lists less rigid? I'm thinking a way to do this would be to shrink the skill lists of each class to only "core" skills, e.g. heal for a cleric, and then letting the player select a certain number of skills to round-out the list themselves...

I stole my encounter from a Stargate episode and my players liked it

That's really cool. I just saw that episode on DVD and loved it, btw. What's great about stealing that idea is the fact that it would work even if the players recognise where you stole it from. Slightly offtopic, but did anyone who saw that episode catch why it was only Jack and Teal'c that...
