The Great Villain Showdown [1st Round Closed]

    7. Fat Bastard The true villain in the Austin Powers series, he is known for his poor hygiene, notably the crusty cheese beneath his manboobs. He has given Scots a bad name with 4 simple words, "Get in mah belly!" Pure Evil incarnate.

Boba Fett to be a character in Star Wars TV series?

Not that weird at all. I'm a jr. high teacher and all my students are between 12-14. Some look like they're 8 and some look 18. I have a 12 year old boy in my class who is 6' 3" and a 14 year old who is 4' 10". Puberty is weird.

    Clive Cussler Novels

I was really hooked on them in the late 80's/early 90;s, but I haven't read any lately....even though I recently bought a lot of 12 or so on eBay. They're on my list to read. I think he's an author whose main fans are in their 50's and 60's....kinda like Robert Ludlum, Frederick Forsyth, Ken...

What is this Time Travel Novel Called?

Hmmmm.... I thought I had read every time travel novel out there, but this doesn't ring a bell. Can you give any more info? When do you think it was published?

What are you reading (May 2005)

I'm taking a break from my Warhammer 40K obsession. I picked up the latest Dean Koontz paperback: The Taking, and, surprisingly, I'm liking it. I've had to struggle to get through some of his last couple. After the first chapter, he doesn't put a metaphor into every sentence. Before that I...

What are you reading? (April 2005)

Finished Eisenhorn....truly excellent by the way. I went on half.com and bought about 20 Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy books. Since then I read Space Wolf and Ragnar's Claw by William King (excellent as well), Death's Messenger (good, but annoying cliffhanger at the end...wait for the...

The West Wing: The next President?

Sounds to me like someone's been buying the crap they call news on FOX. I think Alda's gonna win....and his administration will have to deal with the schism between actual conservatives and the theocratic neocons within the Republican party.

What is your favorite D&D monster?

What Are You Reading? (March 2005)

Just got all of Steven Brust's Taltos novels in omnibus edition off half.com. I'm about to finish Jhereg. Pretty damn good so far. I'll probably switch back and forth between this series and my 1100 page Great Book of Amber (another omnibus edition) by Roger Zelazny.

    Lost Death Poll (possible spoilers)

I'm for Boone. He's become Locke's expendable sidekick. We know Locke had some sort of "encounter" with the big bad monster that never got explained, and they're about to crack open the pod. Danger Will Robinson!

    Playing cross-gender PCs

I'm a DM now, so I'm basically genderless. I do have a slight problem with people playing cross gender characters, but it's mainly due to the vast majority of players being incapable of doing so without adding an aspect that is either annoying or creepy. This includes, but is not limited to...

    The (new) ENworlder age poll!

Pretty interesting that it peaks around 33-36, right where I fall. Most of us must have started in the early to mid 1980's

"What do you get when you cross the Tarrasque with a flumph?? "

Certainly. The more the merrier. Lurg is very cool. I might have to yoink him for an NPC in my current run :D
