    D&D 5E (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Details on the magic items were sparse. There is something there, I just don't know what it was.

    D&D 5E (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Every level of Champion is both 1) something really useful, and 2) boring. Improved crit (twice) Advantage on Init Added Fighting Style Heroic Inspiration every turn Limited regeneration and advantage on death saves It's almost all passive abilities.

    D&D 5E (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Arise foul thread! OK, so not too old. Just a month off from being fresh. It's still twitching a bit at this stage I think. Treantmonk just released (on Patreon) or is about to release (on Youtube) a test experiment he ran. Five 17th level single-class identical Champion Fighters (he ran as...

Interesting take. I wouldn't have had any issue with this

D&D General Arcane Subclasses UA Survey is up

I was never a fan of prestige classes. They were intended for one special career themed path, and optimizers used them like a Halloween grab bag of candy, Frankensteining one prestige class on another on another in a hodge podge of abilities never intended to work with each other to dominate the...

I think he plays only Gnome Bards. For which I respect him. He knows what he likes.

D&D General Arcane Subclasses UA Survey is up

In general I agree. The Horror one was better. I feel like a lot of these are very conservative in this UA. Like they didn't want people angry at them for trying something new. So instead of something unique and interesting that might need some tweaking, they'd throw in a short range teleport...

D&D General Arcane Subclasses UA Survey is up

I did watch Colby (D4), Chris (TreantMonk), Pack Tactics, HermitHutGames, Todd Kenrick, Insight Check (?), and a few others. It's kind of what I've listened to for the last week while exercising. I then added some of my own views, and didn't include some things I disagreed with.

New D&D Unearthed Arcana Reveals Two New Subclasses for Monk and Sorcerer, Plus Revamps For Seven More

The only new wizard subclass I actually like here so far is Transmuter. Enchanter makes no sense (why would you gain movement and disengage?). Conjurer is underpowered (one time a day features better be AMAZING, and if not they're mostly a waste of space). Necromancy is "ok". It doesn't do...

Ivan Van Norman Leaves Darrington Press

I don't know since those are more difficult to track, but he pattern historically is they lose people, and slowly over the next few months we see ads filling those positions, as if a single quarterly or yearly report was the purpose all along.

WOTC also gained back the same number as they lost of prominent positions.

This is going to make things a tad uncomfortable for the "These people leaving WOTC is certain evidence WOTC is in trouble!!!!!!!!" crowd.

    D&D 5E (2024) Psion Class: Green/Yellow/Red?

I genuinely think all four subclasses are new and interesting and I challenge you to make something close-enough to those four subclasses with existing material. It will though require that you read the details of all four, and how they mesh with the base class and other abilities of that...

    D&D 5E (2024) Psion Class: Green/Yellow/Red?

It's now 80% either Yellow or Green. I think it was the colors of the graph that threw everything off. Very odd choice.

The subclasses though are all interesting and different than both each other and almost everything else in the game.
