As a rogue, you need to go first. I played a 3rd-ed. melee-based rogue for almost 2 years, and I never found this to be true. If you go the melee route, then anything that enhances flanking is the way to go.

The Bab5 books are organized by season, and the main rulebook only covers Season 1. As Morden doesn't have much of a role in the first season he has a couple of paragraphs of description, but no stats. I suspect he'll get statted out in the Season 2 book.

May I suggest you change the title of this thread? As it stands now, everyone who sees this thread knows there's a chasm they'll have to overcome. The very title is a (admittedly minor) spoiler.

IMO (and I've DM'd these things) bodaks are just PC killers, with little other use as a monster. They are a low challenge rating, so lower-level parties can supposedly take these things on. But if you run the math, at least one character in a 4 to 6 person party is going to die before the fight...
