    Going Nuclear:1D&D

But it does. Fourth edition would not have been made the way it was without 3rd party products like Iron Heroes. And 5e's Spellcasting is rather similar to that of Arcana Unearthed/Evolved. Just because you ignore third party material doesn't mean that it won't merge with the main branch to be...

    Going Nuclear:1D&D

I certainly won't listen to a certain song or eat certain food, just because it's the newest version (in fairness, I usually avoid food that's too old, but that says more about the viability of food analogies than my personal taste). If I lose interest in a certain game, I usually switch too...

    Going Nuclear:1D&D

@Nefermandias : If 4e is your favorite edtion by a huge margin, why would you play 1D&D instead of it?

WotC quietly deleting access to the 3e SRD

Swift and immediate actions are part of the Psionic SRD. Warlock, Martial Adept and Meldshapers aren't, but Dreamscarred Press created PFRPG1 versions of the Meldshapers and Adepts. There's also a 3.5 OGL/ PFRPG version of Binding by Dario Nardi.

The OGL -- Just What's Going On?

I'm wondering how this will affect funded Kickstarters. I suspect at least one (about a city of bards) could try to use this as an excuse to stop working (if they have started to work at all).

New OGL - what would be acceptable? (+)

As much as I despise NFTs, excluding them from the OGL would just give Hasbro exclusive rights to create them. And I'd be surprised if they haven't already thought about that.

The OGL 1.1 is not an Open License

Monster Manual 2 definitely reprinted the Sandmasker as Scorpionfolk, though slightly adjusted since the first Creature Collection had some issues with its stats (as it was developed without access to the final rules). Unearthed Arcana lists Mutans and Masterminds and Swords of our Fathers in...

The OGL 1.1 is not an Open License

They've done so twice or thrice during 3rd Edition. Monster Manual II contained two creatures from Creature Collection (with changed names, but that was due to White Wolf's designation of product identity). Unearthed Arcana and the d20 Special Dragon Annual contained 3rd party OGC content...

WotC WotC in a small decline as revenue drops by 16% as Hasbro shares hit a new 52-week low

There has been a huge amount of successful 3rd party supplements in recent years. And considering that some of those products easily rival WotC's recent offerings, I can imagine people preferring them to official stuff, although getting them outside Kickstarter can be an issue in some cases...

    Million Dollar TTRPG Kickstarter Club

A large number of backers for Tanares are in for the minis and the boardgame expansion. While some of the others offered minis as well in the past, it's really significant this time.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Takes Control of D&D Translations

DSA's main competion is probably Splittermond, another german RPG created by former members of the DSA team. DSA has lost much of the importance it used to have. In the 80s and 90s, while it was still being published by Schmidt Spiele, you could buy its supplements in most toy stores and Das...

    D&D 5E (2014) Unearthed Arcana: Gothic Lineages & New Race/Culture Distinction

Since the Dhampir's bite counts as a simple melee weapon, can it be used as a monk weapon? Is the Con bonus in addition to the Str/Dex bonus or does it replace it?

Savage Pathfinder Pathfinder Adventure Paths Are Coming To Savage Worlds!

You can probably add Kobold Press to the list of publishers not supporting PF2. The 5e Southlands KS (which I regrettably can't back), has, in less than 24 hours, nearly reached as much as the PF1 version during its whole campaign.

And it arrived today. Hopefully others outside the United States get their copies soon, too.

Rokugan and Mahasarpa as well. Kalamar was also an official setting for a while.

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Dragonlance has good and evil, but its approach is not as absolute as you make it to be. And corruption and redemption are one of the main themes in literature.

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Dragonlance has lots of corruption and redemption going on. And the "good" races of dwarves, elves and humans have a rather shady history (most of it due to pride). Dark Sun, Spelljammer and Planescape are still far more likely.
