    New Dungeon Article

I agree with the sentiments of both these posts. Besides, any specific name in Elvish they slap on is just going to be a portmanteau with words you don't recognize.

    Clerics can't heal (NPCs)?

"We played Dungeons and Dragons for three hours. Then I was slain by an elf."

    Clerics can't heal (NPCs)?

Have you read Fables? Jack is the Man.

Complete Dungeons of Dread Photo Gallery

The griffin is easily my favorite, with the Oni coming in second. The rest are about what I expected.

    D&D 4E Stances in 4e? Wooopie!!!

Are we sure it enhances your defenses? It says +2 to saving throw, so I'd assume that it means the saving throw and not defenses. Of course, it's just a summary of the exploit, so... I really do like the Sustain Minor idea.

    Dispel Magic

IMO, Mourn is probably the most worthwhile poster on these entire forums, and I seek out his posts because he's one of the few who aren't wildly distorting the previews with overly-pessimistic freak-outs. Rock on, Mourn. Rock on. EDIT: oh, and Dispel Magic, or something.

instead of Bard spells, Ritual songs?

They've jettisoned the idea of 'good at social, suck at combat' character classes. Good riddance. The bard will have both combat and non-combat abilities. This is a good thing, people.

    D&D 4E REAL 4E Stuff!

That's why I never click on tinyurl links blindly. I went to it anyway, once I knew what it was, because I think the song is terribly kitschy, but as a guideline tinyurl is nothing but trouble.

    New FRCG Cover - Finally!

That is possibly the most wrong thing anyone could ever say. Nothing will ever need more chibi.

    Dispel Magic

Looks like the Swiss Army Win Button is getting less and less overpowered as the previews roll in. Woohoo!

    WoTC Rodney: Economy of actions

I wish there was an emoticon for a slow, dramatic clap, because this was beautiful. Really brought a tear to my eye.

    Forcing enemies to shift

Explain it yourself. Each instance of the power will probably need a slightly different explanation from you because honestly, the rules are not the physics of the world. The rules only moderate the players' narrative interaction with the world.

    Martial Dailies - How so?

That seems like too much work for no real difference, except to make them more swingy and less fun.

    WoTC Rodney: Economy of actions

But not all players want to deal with being forced to roll attacks for the druid's crummy weasels. You can't just pawn followers off on an unwilling player. And yet sitting around/playing DS/having a smoke while the druid rolls all the attacks for his own crummy weasels is untenable, too. So...

How will the designers (or the players) deal with magic item influx due to PC death?

Battlestar Galactica, of course. The good one.

    WotC_Dave: Druid!

I'm loving the wildshape and weather-magic focus of the Druid. The sorcerer can soak up the elemental bits of the Primal power source. I'm a bit concerned about the 'hybrid' description, but it may be okay. I am fed up with the Druid's monopolizing of table time, so banishing the...

    Rodney Thompson on Multiclassing

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if, when we eventually get Summoning powers, nearly all of them are 'Sustain Standard'.

Where do feats fall into this again?

I still don't see why First Reaction is so reviled. Yes, you spend an action point, but you get an entire round of actions for your trouble instead of just a standard.

    Rodney Thompson on Multiclassing

Well, for now. Just wait until you get your Arcane Trickster paragon path.

D&D 4E Keith Baker on 4E! (The Hellcow responds!)

Because you can get killed by a housecat. Because whipping up a new character takes an hour instead of 5 minutes. Because immediately dying frankly isn't something that is a fun outcome for newcomers. Or me.
