    Delver destroying gear...

I'd rule it that one item has to roll a save for each hit. I don't know if it's realistic, but it's fair. If I had robbed one of my characters for 4 magical items at once, he'd definetely made a new one..

    Advice on playing Spellfire

If you don't have to ready an action to absorb incoming spells, it would be a great improvement, as Spellfire Wielders aren't that powerful. I had one in my group when we played CotSQ, and he was the first to die. I mean, he could like absorb 30-40 spell levels and fire them off, but then he...

    JollyDoc's Shackled City

Whew.. I've finally read through your story hour, and it absolutely rocks! The battles are absolutely stunning to read, and I particularly liked the one with the giants on the bridge, retreating but then counter-attacking. Gianst aren't especially smart, and it should be obvious in a fight. I...

    Dungeon 103: Forest of Blood

Thanks, an actual response from the author was perfect! My group consists of 3 characters, a 7th lvl ranger, a 7 lvl rogue and a fighter/rogue 4/2. This means that they are a little higher than the recommended levels, but they are only three, so I think it should balance itself out. The rogues...

    Dungeon 103: Forest of Blood

Am I blind, or did they forget to insert how many boars there were supposed to be at Remus' cabin? Any ideas how many there should be?

    Who would win?

Party consists of : 6th lvl ranger (possibly 7th by the time), 4/2 ftr/rogue and 6th level rogue (more of a charisma rogue than a trapfinding rogue). The last party member died last session, and hasn't created a new one yet. But my guess is he will be a spellcaster.. sorcerer or wizard

    Who would win?

They are on horseback, but its not that far out of the city (maybe a 20 minute ride). I originally planned on both sides appearing when the pcs are already there, but I decided against a long-winded battle. If I know my players right, they are sure to get in on the action, possibly siding with...

    Who would win?

The plot is something like this. The Nine Golden Swords hired the pc's to steal something from the Red Wizards. The pc's did this, but the item was then stolen by a fourth party (another adventuring group). The pc's have negotiated to pay a hefty sum for the item, and the exchange is to take...

    Who would win?

My characters are in the middle of a nasty feud between Red Wizards and The Nine Golden Swords (a kind of yakuza operating out of Thesk). Anyway, two small armies of these two factions will meet for battle, and the PCs may either opt to join in on one of these sides, watch it out, or run like...

    Fire Trap

The Fire TRap spells states that the spell doesn't hurt the protected item. What about the items therein? If for example a scroll tube is protected by a fire trap, and it is opened. Does this hurt the scroll that lies within?

    Hardness and armor

One of my players critical missed a saving throw from a lightning bolt, and it was randomly determined that his chain shirt was the item damaged. What is the hardness and hitpoints of a chain shirt?

    Unhallow

SPOILER for City of the Spider Queen My characters will soon be entering the holy sanctum of Kiaransalee in Szith Morcane, and I need some help in advance. They will probably try to dispel the Forbiddance effect in place, but at the same time, an Unhallow effect...

    Guards and Wards

One of the Guards & Wards qualities is that x number of doors appear as normal walls. In the spell descripton it says that no save or spell resistance is allowed. Does this mean that someone have to try to walk into the wall for the glamer to disappear? Or do you receive a will save when...

    Arrows

Something I have always pondered upon.. is there only one type of "regular" arrow? I mean, could you take arrows someone bought for a composite shortbow and use them for a composite longbow or vice versa? Does the same go for bolts? I mean, its kind of ridiculous if you could use bolts for a...

    Vampire + drow

So you're saying that undead are immune to rancor attack? Even though it specifically states that creatures normally immune to critical hits are not immune to rancor attacks?

    Vampire + drow

According to MotW, rancor functions even against creatures immune to critical hits

    Why THAT change? (gnome bard)

Rogue/Ill 7 / Bard 2 would most definetely entail a xp penalty.. but I have a feeling you meant gnome ill 7 / bard 2

Varied starting equip (e.g. Item creation)

Yes, I recently began a campaign at 12th level, but an item crafting cleric started at 11th. It is really worth it, as you can craft a lot of items at half price. It is also conceivable that the cleric has created items and sold them to earn money.

    Vampire + drow

Well, the reason why I asked is because one of my players plays a ranger with favored enemy drow. He is also a Foe Hunter, so hated enemy is drow. So let me see if I get this right. No extra damage due to favored enemy - all creatures immune to critical hits are immune to rangers extra...

    Why THAT change? (gnome bard)

I can understand the way they are thinking, but it doesn't make sense either way. Anyway, of the 120 characters I've DM'ed, only 1 have played a gnome, so its not going to be an issue for me anyway.
