    A Child's Logic

I saw it as an ability to comprehend the written word as if by magic. Not just the ability to see. I understand your point though.

    A Child's Logic

That's like swallowing watermelon seeds, and watermelon growing in your belly. I didn't think about that, but could you imagine a child thinking this actually happened and applying that logic when seeing someone that's pregnant or has a lot of fat in their middle?

If you take off the glasses you lose the ability to read. I can see that as a thought going through his mind.

    A Child's Logic

Driving home in fog this morning reminded me of a thing I thought as a child. Fog is just a cloud that hasn't woken up yet. To me as a wee youngling. I saw fog mostly in the early morning. It was gone by late morning. I thought it woke up and rose into the sky. Everything lays down to sleep...

I'm thinking of doing this recipe this weekend. I have all the ingredients except the parsley. Never been a fresh parsley guy. Danny what do you think the sour cream is for flavor and moisture? Do you think shredded cheese could do a similar job? I might have some nacho cheese around still...

I'm not a fan of the ASMR aspect of some of these videos. The recipes are interesting though. It's almost like a fried chicken meatloaf with corn. lol The corn and flour would make it iffy for someone doing low carb or low sugar. Sour cream adds fat. Something to do on occasion, not everyday?

A podcaster I listen to told a story about his trip to Scotland recently. He and his wife traveled with a friend and his wife. The friend got deathly ill. He's recovering but it was close. Does American health insurance cover hospital costs in another country? This is the UK. As a tourist is his...

Effexor is what I'm on. The first few days I felt like a zombie just going through the motions. There are real side effects. That's one of the reasons they gave for not using antidepressants. That zombie feeling went away. Other effects lingered longer. Now 12 years later I don't notice them...

I don't know if any of you had seen the first My Spy movie. I didn't know there was a second one until I watched it last night. The original was better but I enjoyed it. I can see them doing one of these every few years. Next time she's in college and gets dragged into a caper. After that a...

A woman I work with (a different one than I mentioned in the past) said she had heard that I liked her. She wanted to make it clear "before you get your hopes up" that I was too old for her. I just liked talking to her. I'm too self conscious to have gone beyond friendly chatter at work. She's...

Today I learned antidepressants may be just as effective as placebo. Hearing this depressed me. I was already feeling down. This news made me feel worse. I know I feel better on my antidepressant than I do off of it. Now I'm concerned it could just be placebo effect. 😕

Hemant Mehta of The Friendly Atheist podcast/blog is from a Jain family. He's still a vegetarian even though he no longer shares his family's faith. He talks about it from time to time. I've also heard some for extreme adherents would wear masks and sweep the ground in front of themselves to...
