Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

Yes, please let me know the name of your FLGS. Hopefully they've got 3.5 PHBs and ship internationally.

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

That's kind of like my situation. Even though I bought a lot of 3.5 books, our group never updated our core books. (Indeed, at the time, we kind of resented doing so.) Nevertheless, our group wants to update to 3.5 now. I've bought the DMG and MM for reasonable prices but the PHB is hard to...

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

That's a different situation. Hellbound is a rare boxed set that was published at the tail-end of the Planescape line. Even I forked out a lot to pick it up but I was prepared to do so. I'm not keen to fork out a lot of money for the 3.5 PHB though (well . . . until I get desperate :)

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

No. I'm quoting the USD value only. Nor am I including postage. The book originally cost $29.95 brand new. Used copies now sell for $45 to $60 USD.

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

Most of these are auctions and will end up selling for close to the Buy-it-Now prices which start at $50 USD. The the one being auctioned in Australia I'll keep an eye on (one just recently sold for $64 AU in Australia though!) Thanks for your help

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

I'm from Australia. Half-Price Books look like they're only US-based. Is that correct?

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

Yes, I'm aware of such. I've never seen a standard edition of the PHB spike that much in price after the release of a newer edition. I know you have to pay a lot for books such as the 1st printing of the 1E DMG. In fact the 2nd printing alpha that accidently had pages of the MM printed in it is...

Can't find a used PHB v.3.5 for under $45 USD

I'm still on 3.0 books but wanted to update to 3.5 (yes, I'm a bit slow). What shocks me, however, is the insane prices sellers want. There must be millions of these books out there but I can't find one cheaper than $45 USD. Also, the bidding on eBay for these tomes is fierce. I saw a mint...

    Jakandor, Island of War

Oh, one question. Although Jakandor may not fit very well into the TSR settings of the time, do the books make any attempt to specifically place the island in Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, etc.? And perhaps give advice on how to adapt Jakandor to that setting?

    Jakandor, Island of War

I've collected most D&D books I'm after but the Jakandor adventure/accessory trilogy has me intrigued and I'm wondering whether they are worth seeking out: - Jakandor, Island of War (part 1) - Jakandor, Isle of Destiny (part 2) - Jakandor, Land of Legend (part 3) These books belong to the 2nd...

    Let's pronounce "Genasi"

I downloaded a set of audio files a few years ago that pronounced several Planescape words. Amongst them was genasi and it was pronounced with a hard G: Geh-Nah-See. I could have sworn I downloaded this from WotC but I can't quite remember. The same audio file pronounced Sigil as Sigg-il...

Justifying high level 'guards', 'pirates', 'soldiers', 'assassins', etc.

This thread makes me think of Gygax's novel, Saga of Old City. At the start of the story, Gord is a lowly street urchin who is beat up by a bully in the Slums of Greyhawk. Gord breaks out of the Slums, however, and goes on many adventures in Greyhawk and beyond. After honing his skills and...
