    What options have you regreted allowing in your game?

    Frenzied Berserker. Nothing put more fear into the PC's than their own team mate. Totally overshadowed the villains in nearly each and every encounter.

    Where on Greyhawk do you run?

    You'd -think- I ran most of my campaigns in Ull, but no. Most of my campaigns have revolved around the Nyr Dyv or in Iuz.

    Dungeon and Dragon submission guidelines are up

    Looks good on the surface but I'm not impressed yet. Let's hope they play ball as nicely as paizo used to.

    Should D&D Have an Alternate Death Mechanic?

    Yup, and unlike rez spells, I'm sure it takes a lot longer and costs a hell of alot more to fix a sundered sword and make it magical again (unless you are liberal with Wish spells).

    Give me some pirate ideas to steal!

    In my sea-based campaigns, nothing was more fun than fully detailing the quirky traits of the entire crew. Use the DMG's d100 traits and let the hilarity ensue as you nickname the NPCs. The players will then get attached to the crew better if they have a hand in it.

    Should D&D Have an Alternate Death Mechanic?

    All I know is my players consider item theft or destruction worse than death, getting rather riled moreso than if they hit -10hp. That to me tells me death in D&D is broken.

    Gargantuan Orcus out in March per Amazon

    A super-size Demogorgon mini would be TOO convenient for Wizards to ever do, given that he is the BBEG in paizo's Savage Tide, soon to be formerly of Dungeon magazine.

    Gargantuan Orcus out in March per Amazon

    Why Orcus!? The Aspect wasn't good enough? Are you telling me they are going to promote CR30+ demonlords as opponents -now-? I thought only paizo did that.

    Should D&D Have an Alternate Death Mechanic?

    I'm in agreement there. I despise Res spells and 3.x's True Res is the worst of the lot, making high level PCs effectively unkillable.

    Real life beasts that need more attention

    Wow on first glance, I thought the thread read 'Real life BREASTS need your attention'...I'm losing it!

    The Magic-Walmart myth

    For me the magimart hate is misplaced. Sure in a D&D world magic items are abundant and can be found in dungeons galore so why not the towns where they are made? BUT the true source of ire IMO is the metagaming knowledge of players who seek to trade in items. It's one thing to not know the...

    The Magic-Walmart myth

    If the Thayan embassies are in every nation and they undercut native item vendors by 10% that sounds -exactly- like Wal Mart to me! ;)

    Gleemax = Enworld

    Ah I see. I would blame anime for that mainly, but that's a topic for another thread. Carry on.

    Gleemax = Enworld

    Why would katanas be banned from discussion?! I know from experience you can't talk about D&D novels on the Wizards forums (the ones they actively moderate at any rate)

    Dragon Appreciation: Which are your favorite Dragon comic series?

    Yo Jolly! Hjorimir: I know how you feel. For me I think it's the fact the strip didn't START in Dragon it was imported after it was already wildly popular. I'm not sure any other strip had that happen.

    Shadowrun v4 - Your Experience

    Agreed. The dice subtraction/addition is definitely better than SR3. For example a beginning character with the right cyberware and pistol skill will never miss a shot in SR3, and that's before karma! The only thing to offset it is high armor values. Our games became this massive RPG of one shot...

    Dragon Appreciation: Which are your favorite Dragon comic series?

    Wormy and Knights of the Dinner Table. Wormy was stunning art and story that got me hooked on the magazine in the first place, and KoTD was witty writing that spied in on your game room.

    Logic behind sales of "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk"?

    Reprinting the LGG: No, complete waste of paper unless reformatted or updated for 5-6 years of LG play. Printing retired LG mods: Yes, but only the best of them, or at least the Cores. Restarting GH: Risky but might be the only compromise to bring all the factions of GH fans together at one...

    Logic behind sales of "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk"?

    There was plenty of change I say. Greyhawk had a rennaisance in Paizo going into directions never seen before at the same time never stepping on Living Greyhawk's toes. It was drawing in new gamers like mad as Mona attests in his sales figures. And it revived the long adventure format. As far as...

    Real estate in medieval fantasy (Greyhawk)

    Just from memory, I think in the City of Greyhawk Boxed Set (2E) it gave a host of Greyhawk city taxes (the metal tax being a crucial one if you play GH castle). There is also an issue of citizenship and landowning rights. IIRC, there is a law keeping foreigners in the Foreign Quarter whereas...
