I think that goes back to ol @Snarf Zagyg's point that the system seems designed to not close any door completely. The rub, of course, is no door is completely open either.

I think after streaming it will probably still turn a profit, but nothing like the first. Look for Megan 3 to be straight to stream with a much more modest budget.

Sure, it might be a see it to believe it experience. Megan doesnt have Arnold type hype behind it tho. An interesting take. Im not sure it will hold interest of viewers in general the way making 13 Megan goes crazy and kills people movies would but... Did the first one do well in the theater...

Excellent point! I think there will be a bit of push and pull as automation of VTT becomes more prevalent and folks get back to the table top more since Covid. Something designers will need to mull over as they make game elements going forward.

Its a good point to make, playstyle often has a lot to do with the perspective. I've seen both games with few mechanics and games with lots of mechanics get called bad by one adherent of the extreme or the other. Where the truth is the game isnt bad, it just doesnt support your style of play...

It does remind me of a few other whiplashes ive experienced. Namely Space Odyssey 2001. The sequel movie is much more a space exploration adventure where "HAL was a good A.I. just turned into a sociopath by government interference" or something. Very different tone to those two films...

Well, now I have heard folks actually like the cheaper starters.

I've made accounts for both folks who simply dislike it, and folks who think it takes too much time. All im saying is it doesnt add any noticeable time for me and that ive seen this across many different games. This is very understandable to me, and a better criticism than its too time consuming.

Sure, if you dont like it, you dont like it. Though, many complaints seem to be that it adds too much time to combat. I get that very much. Ive seen some players just bog down on things that are a breeze for me. I imagine if I spent a significant amount of brain power on mechanics it would bug...

I've never heard anyone say the starter set was great, good, or even worth it to start. Its usually a junk set quickly forgotten. The Paizo beginners box on the other hand has stuff folks still use after years of playing. If its anything like what Paizo puts out, id get it.

Some time ago I had a boss that was annoyed people used the net at work and she blocked everything but essential sites. Since this was a retail corp. Commercial "store" sites were not blocked. So, I was on Paizo boards alot. :ROFLMAO:

Yea, I want more of this kind of thing in 5E. I totally get the nays are coming from though. I just manage to slice through crunchy systems a little easier than the average gamer I guess.
