    LARP In the UK

I quite liked Green Cloaks but I doubt I'll go camping again! Rising of Chaos is intriguing might NPC for them. 😀

    Level Up (A5E) Explaining A5e

That's been pretty much my take home as well. 😀 In the D&D forum they're fretting over Wizards monetization plans and wishing that they'd get support for GMing. It's very CS Lewis "The Last Battle".

    Level Up (A5E) Explaining A5e

Ahh with you. No chance of getting you to run a game then. 😀 never mind.

A great summary, sounds like you really understand this stuff! Do you run it at all?

    D&D General When 3e Fixed D&D - Almost

Well, saving throws. Exist. You cast fireball, so roll damage Now I have to make at least 3 (I think one crowded battle it was 15) saving throws which will usually be of different values, then I have to apply Resistances, do the damage, damage for half calculations, apply conditions of failed...

D&D General D&D has always been the gateway to other games.

A gateway certainly. My path went: Fighting Fantasy solo books Dungeoneer/Titan/Port Blacksand LARP Vampire LRP Everway Paranoia And when I played 3rd Ed I didn't like that I was treated as a moron for not planning out my character from 1-20 (in a game which never got to level 5). I GMd it...

There is no algorithm. You need to follow 200-500 people, or equivalent for enough "content" to replicate twitter. The local feed is always a rich source of inspiration as is the #TTRPG and the @ttrpg@a.gup.pe autoboost group. Saying its dead is just not true. It is not Twitter. The clue is...

    Level Up (A5E) Explaining A5e

Same. I used to really respect the balance and spent a huge amounts of effort trying to run RAW and attempting to run as I imagined they'd be doing in Seattle. Tasha's cured me of that.

D&D 5E (2014) How will you pick a Monster Manual alternative?

I, personally, wouldn't depend on the IT offerings of a company that describes itself as "undermonetised", and wants to move their players into a Walled Garden, but everybody is entitled to make their own decisions. 😀

    Level Up (A5E) Explaining A5e

If the Narrator is having a good time then that really helps the game last. I know when I'm not having fun running a game I try and finish it off ASAP. The beauty of it is you have all the materials and if they don't want the options, they can just use the old classes. And if one tries out an...

D&D 5E (2014) How will you pick a Monster Manual alternative?

Well you don't need to own the Monstrous Menagerie https://a5e.tools/node/1432 I love the new art and the lore has been reworked, but it's an online resource. I think that Monstrous Menagerie 2 will be pretty impressive.

Ohhhhhh... well now I understand prestige AND motif classes. Thanks. 😀

I think it looks enough like Twitter to confuse people and there are some subtleties which are not apparent. I.e. if you don't use # or the right # and you don't have people boosting your posts you'll get nowhere. The wrong server can be awful as well. That's why I specified two which will...
