    D&D 5E (2014) Weird Interpretations for High/Low Ability Scores

My dad has always equated low Charisma with having psychopathic tendencies... which in one campaign nearly got his half-elf ranger’s skin flayed off when he brought the wrong character sheet to one session, deliberately pissed off a VERY POWERFUL nobleman, and didn’t notice his out-of-game...

D&D 5E (2014) Previews of Rime of the Frostmaiden

Given how they are using adventures to detail specific areas of Faerun, I doubt they will do that. Honestly, an adventure involving time travel and a magic-blighted desert sounds really easy to convert into Dark Sun, if you ask me.

    D&D 5E (2014) Wood Elf Monk

Played a wood elf monk once, only it was more a case of them being a feral child who scratched and bit their enemies, as opposed to martial arts training.

D&D General Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings of Color

Officially? Probably not. Me personally? I see nothing wrong with it. To be fair though, I rework the racial ability scores for every race and sub-race in my campaigns, to better fit how I see them within each setting.

WotC Birthright may be opened up for DM's Guild

I know almost nothing about Birthright, but reading the preview, Cerilian elves remind me of the ones from Skyrim.

D&D 5E (2014) Reconciling the different Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons Cosmologies

My campaigns have featured cross planar travel from day 1. When an NPC from the Forgotten Realms in my game traveled to Eberron, he exited the Great Wheel cosmology and entered the Orrery. If he had been from Ravnica, he would have exited the Blind Eternities (or whatever its name is).

D&D General Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings of Color

In my Eberron game, the only people who look “white” are the ethnic Karrnathi humans, ethnic Aundairan humans, Bloodsail Elves, and Mror Dwarves.

D&D 5E (2014) Reconciling the different Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons Cosmologies

I say let each setting have its own cosmology structure. Let Forgotten Realms use the Great Wheel, Eberron the Orrery of the Planes (or whatever it’s called), and Dark Sun a version of the World Axis. Theros already has Nyx and the Underworld, I believe.

D&D 5E (2014) The Gaming Gang Pages Through Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

That has got to be the fattest dragon I’ve seen in a while. Dude needs to diversify his diet a bit if you ask me.

D&D General Tell me about your campaign

A Cyran necromancer, a House Vadalis scion, a Khoravar* sailor, and a Ghaash’Kala cleric must race to Eston to stop both the Arcane Knights and the Lord of Blades from acquiring a prototype superweapon. *meant Khoravar Half-Elf, but typed Khorvaire originally.

D&D 5E (2014) The Wagadu Chronicles: A free African Fantasy introductory setting, adventure, & bestiary

Looks cool! Thanks for sharing. EDIT I LOVE their interpretation of heavy armor. So much better than how Tomb of Annihilation dealt with it.

D&D General Black Panther Conversions and Tributes

From my current campaign: Vibranium Javelin Very Rare +2 to attack rolls, 3d6 magical piercing damage + your Strength modifier on a hit. As an action, you can project a focused burst of energy from the spear tip out to a range of 60 feet. Make a ranged weapon attack. On a hit, you deal 5d8...

    D&D 5E (2014) What's your favourite pantheon?

The orc pantheon is my favorite, same as how the orc section is my favorite part of Volo’s.

    D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything!

One of my players would almost certainly die of joy if this were to ever happen. The setting book being released, that is.

    D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything!

I think I’m actually more excited for Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything than I was for Xanathar’s. If the psionic sub-classes are indeed a part of this new product, then hopefully we get a 5e Dark Sun hardcover next year.

D&D 5E (2014) Iggwilv/Tasha To Join Volo, Xanathar, and Mordenkainen? [UPDATED!]

Iggwilv/Tasha joining the ranks of Volo, Mordenkainen, and company with a 5e hardcover product would be so amazing. I have the final print issue of Dragon magazine, and I always loved the section on the Demonomicon Apocrypha. If they do use Iggwilv/Tasha, here’s hoping the product references...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Compatible Gamma World

Okay, it’s official. After my Eberron campaign wraps up, I’m gonna have to run a Gamma World/Fallout-inspired homebrew setting. Maybe throw Expedition to the Barrier Peaks into the mix for good measure.

D&D General Creatures Obscure & Underused

Monsters I like but haven’t used yet: Belkir Asthma-inducing smoke elementals that like to stick their claws down your throat and slash your lungs to ribbons from the inside. In Pathfinder 1e, they resembled bat-winged beetles. Drolem A golem created from the corpses of dragons. I’ve...
