I have it. I haven't used it yet, but I've flipped through it and can't wait to use it with one (or more) of my groups.

I haven't started yet as we're going to finish up another story line first, but as much as I'd love to say that I'm going to run every adventure in TftYP, I'm sure that due to time I won't be able to for awhile.

I've been playing D&D since the early 80s, but I also enjoy collecting fantasy related stuff. I'm curious how many others are also collectors, and how many are more just interested in the game itself. For me, with D&D, I fall somewhere in between. I definitely buy more than just the basic core...

Personally, I prefer TotM over using miniatures. I generally draw maps on either grid paper or on a large notepad when I DM. Having said that, I do however enjoy collecting the miniatures, so I've got a pretty good sized collection. I do occasionally use them when positioning in combat may be a...

I encourage players to improvise during combat. It keeps things from getting boring by having them repeatedly say "I attack with my sword" over and over.

Definitely not cool on the DM's part. As a DM, I respect my players' time and effort put into the game too much to mess up their characters without them even having a chance to be a part of the outcome. I'd definitely talk to the DM and let him know how you feel, and if he doesn't seem to care...

I agree that LMoP or Yawning Portal would be a great starting point.

This is my biggest issue with skills in 5E. I personally like skills to help define a class, not just make the class better at them.

I don't time them or set time limits, but my players also don't use their phones/tablets during the game except in an emergency. It really just isn't polite to the rest of the group and I"m thankful to have a group that understands that.

I just came here to post about this. I noticed a couple of days ago that they were missing and thought I was having a display issue in my browsers. Glad to know its not anything I have to fix in my settings, but it would be nice to see the timestamps showing up correctly again.
