My all-time favorite is rogue/thief. It's been my favorite since at least 2E (if not BECMI). I've always been a gadget lover, and always loved the thief's skills for traps and locks, while still being able to fight decently.

Mine did, too. Then they took him down pretty quickly and handed him over to Sildar.

"Should I do x?" I have players who ask me for advice on what to do. I just answer by telling them that they can try anything they like, and it's up to them if they think they should or not.

About as serious as real life. Sometimes things need to be taken a little more seriously, and much of the time, there's plenty of laughs to be had.

You are walking on ice and try to avoid slipping and falling prone. Or you are walking over a covered pit and try to jump out of the way as you realize you've stepped on it. Where is there an attack vs. defense in those situations? Those are reactions to an environment, and saving throws make...

A character in Death House, after defeating several somewhat challenging foes, was beaten to death by an animated broom. Then failed the first death save followed by a NAT 1 on the next roll.

I've found the CRs to be somewhat on target, but generally more on the easy side for encounters. I've often had a party complete an encounter and felt that it was easier for them than I had anticipated based on the CR and encounter guidelines.

I think weapons are just fine the way they are. I might have a couple of minor changes, but nothing to quibble over.

Have them bring multiple characters. If/when one dies, the party can find another character trapped and release them to join with them, and the player whose character died can join in with that new character. There are several ways to accomplish this without having it be the exact same scenario...

I'm really excited about this. I've been hoping for more module type releases since 5E came out, and the fact that these will be classic modules is all the better.

As a DM, I always roll damage. My players do, too. We like dice.

Or just make it a user option/preference.

I've seen stuff like this go for big bucks years afterward, so I think I'd keep it.
