    D&D 5E (2014) Suggestions for a 2 player group

I'd strongly recommend allowing the PCs to find more healing potions than adjust the healing rules. That way you can always tweak it as time goes on if necessary over regretting having been too lenient.

    D&D 5E (2014) Suggestions for a 2 player group

I wouldn't power up the PCs. I'd just use fewer or weaker monsters. And allow NPCs to help out when the PCs ask to bring them along.

D&D 5E (2014) Concerned that Geas will Railroad my players

It's exactly my response to the original question: "Can I water down the effects of Geas so that they can pursue their goals but still feel that they need to take care of the other thing? How would you approach it?" Don't. That's exactly what the spell is for. If you're going to water it down...

D&D 5E (2014) Concerned that Geas will Railroad my players

You might as well ban the spell if you're not going to use it for its sole function.

    D&D 5E (2014) Modifying/Expanding Ritual Casting

How about one ritual per day total. Things like Light will matter again.

    D&D 5E (2014) Modifying/Expanding Ritual Casting

My house rule so far has been rituals take 30 minutes minimum. May switch to this, I like it.

D&D 5E (2014) The other side of dump stats (Altered ability mod progression)

My point was is that you don't need rule changes to solve the problem.

D&D 5E (2014) The other side of dump stats (Altered ability mod progression)

Discourage STR being a dump stat by enforcing the variant encumbrance rule. Discourage INT being a dump stat by calling for more of the INT skill rolls.

D&D 5E (2024) What Improvements Would You Want with 6E?

Most of these aren't just bugs with 5e, they've been "bugs" with D&D since the beginning.

    D&D 5E (2014) Playing D&D with my 6 year old

Kids love having pets. Give them one even without requiring a spell. Or let them claim any animal they find as a friend. Pro tip: Don't kill it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Playing D&D with my 6 year old

They're 6. This more than enough prep already,

D&D 5E (2014) Starting Feat - new players vs. veteran players

If that were put into a book as a rule, I'd ban it at my table instantly. So what if your character takes a less than optimal path? Decisions have consequences.

    Black Pudding split

Obviously the current HP. The other way doesn't make any sense.

    D&D 5E (2014) Murder in Baldur's Gate - how did it go?

We ran Murder in Baldurs Gate exactly as the OP wants, as an interlude, each chapter being just one day. It went great and was a horribly frantic time. They couldn't wait to get out of town when it was over.

Any expeerience with Injury Cards in play?

I could see making them harsher for a Dark Sun game. That would be totally appropriate. I've also toyed with the idea of allowing players to voluntarily take a card to negate a crit.

Any expeerience with Injury Cards in play?

Used the cards in 4e as written. One of our favorite memories of that campaign is of the sucking chest wound one player had. It managed to stick with him for several sessions, and the character developed some good RP really going with their injury even after the mechanical effect was cured...

Any expeerience with Injury Cards in play?

We used those in 4e and I made my own equivalent of them for 5e. I and most of my players love the addition.
