Counsel of Wyrms was a pretty dope concept. I used to have it and was preparing to run a campaign. The only thing that I didn't like about it, was they did nothing to scale the dragons' powers, which would've made it hard to get people to play certain dragons.

The 2 books they announced Dragon Hiest and DotMM will come out closer to the end of the year, maybe Sep and Nov. with the start of the new season. The other book, I have no idea, it could come out this summer, it could come out next spring, but I doubt it's going to come out in the seasons...

Here's the thing. I agree with your argument that a God or Avatar should be hard, but that does not justify the defense of broken abilities to the point where the fight is completely unwinnable. If you're going to make it impossible, you might as well not even bother with a template.

Unfortunately that means the only setting for 5e will probably always be FR. If they put anything out for any other settings, they will probably be some one off book that's not going to really get supported
