That's fair but, that requires 2 feats to set up, 3 if you're in the camp that you need spell sniper to use BB blade at 10ft. With the polearm. So that means minimum level 6 if you're a human, level 8 if not or level 14 of you want to max your STR first.

I think we can agree, as much as I like GFB or BB as cantrips, they just don't work well with fighters. It's debatable with any class with multi-attack for that matter.

That will cover you until lvl 10. But at 11 when you have 3 attacks plus the bonus, you're going to stop using the cantrip again.

This is why I rarely look at Sage Advice, because 1. it's not a rule, and 2. sometimes I don't think they know what they're talking about because it makes no sense. When I'm the DM, the rule is the way I interpret it, if I'm not the DM, I ask and follow their ruling.
