What videogames are you playing in 2025?

Avowed is in my radar, but I need to buy and play Palworld and BG3 first. And there's still Birthright and KoTOR in my backlog. As well as RE2 remake. Meanwhile my time is consumed by Minecraft, and Arena.

What's The Next Big Pop Cultural Push?

@Ruin Explorer, check "Moon Channel" (don't confuse if with the "Moon" channel, as it is the opposite. Look for the one with a cute cartoon moon and Ace Attorney characters instead of a moon face with a rocket on the eye). There's one video about how Japanese pop culture is getting a push...

What's The Next Big Pop Cultural Push?

@trappedslider Yeah, I was thinking of the Odyssey. Somehow it crossed in my mind with the Argonauts.

What's The Next Big Pop Cultural Push?

I've been thinking that maybe we'll see more and more "historical" super-productions like gladiator II. Between it and Jason and the Argonauts these seem to be in production. Whether they catch on or not, we'll see.

The onky reason I don't own a porg plushie is they never made a true plushie, only this weird automaton thing that was too hard to hug. Similar with baby Yoda. At least there're non official ones that do work as a plushie.

Most of them. There are some categories that are made by other companies (like Lego and Jacks Pacffic), but they hold the biggest chunk of the licence. Along with Marvel and Disney (parts of princeses are held by Mattel, but Hasbro keeps Barbie scale) The last five to ten years have been unkind...

Toys are a very important part of Star Wars fandom. And huge revenue source. Maybe not to Disney, but to Hasbro.

I'm sad Solo flopped. I expected it to last in theaters at least a month. There's always been naysayers with a lot of self-importance that cry to the heavens they're going to boicot, and I didn't take them seriously. After that, I just know that if I want to watch a movie in theaters, I have to...

Hear me out. I call this one standing alone. Three movies that are later installments of a saga yet can be watched as standalone films about three men who carry a burden on their shoulders. I wanted to make ironic comedy a theme, but instead they go from happy endings to twisted cruel irony...

Another factor is they allowed themselves to be swallowed by their own performative rituals. Their approach to the dark side is the equivalent of abstinence-only sx-ed. Instead of leaning on the will of the force, they went into fleeing from the dark side. They weakened their connection to the...

It would have been cool if Kylo had been having visions of who he thought it was Vader but it turned out to secretely been Palpatine as some sort of sith force wraith maskerading as Vader.

Might look at it later for myself. I think I'll go with the Language of Thorns. Other books by the author aren't available locally it seems, but this one looks very promising and being a short story anthology seems like it'll do the trick. Thank you!

@Gradine, while I'm not a fan of the sequel trilogy, I hold no special grief over the Last Jedi. Most of my issues with the trilogy are directed at the other two movies. TFA specially, they didn't have to blow up everything while throwing shade at the prequels with a rehashed story. And RoS, the...

what the... really? are these things safe to be planted next to other cultivars let alone be eaten? I mean there was an incident in my country involving cobalt-60 a long time ago, that contaminated tons of steel that became unusable and it was just from a single Rx machine.

Hello Enworlders, Today I'm asking you for some help to locate books. One for me, and one for a gift. I'm having a hard time finding something. I need it to be a book a bit like The Lunar Chronicles but without the robots, spaceships and other sci-fi elements. These are a big turn off for the...
