A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

In some ways, yes. I don't think it's a good read if you are not planning to run the adventures. It's biggest strength is the tight adventure design, which won't make it of much use outside of that. Having run the first half of the first adventure, I really like it so far. I really liked the...

    D&D General Do THIS, WotC!

I loved Treasury of Dragons and am now really enjoying Glory of the Giants. I would love a Feywild book!

D&D General D&D Beyond's Users Online Over Last Year

Just waiting for people to spin fastest selling into anything other than “selling the most shortly after release”.

D&D General How Do I Help Mentor a GM Making Rookie Mistakes?

I would 100% bring it up after the session or even before the next with everyone present. Make sure to lather it with praise, but explain your issues without criticism, and ask what the rest of the table thinks. So far, a lot of these look like additional detrimental effects, are there also...

Does only using the app count too?

D&D General D&D Beyond's Users Online Over Last Year

A few questions! 1. How is this data tracked? 2. Can we see similar trends on other online platforms used for D&D? 3. Do we have numbers from before the release of the revision?

Dragon Delves Dedicated to Chris Perkins

The new ancient blue deals roughly 25% more damage, which is the biggest change.

Dragon Delves Dedicated to Chris Perkins

I just finished reading this adventure, and I agree. A lot of elements are interesting, but don't go anywhere. Not the modrons, not the dragon, not even the quest giver or the Astral visitor. None of them are dynamic, like the fearful guards of Death at Sunset, or the indecisive cultists of The...

D&D General In this day and age, people still laugh when you invite them to play D&D.

Maybe they’re not interested in playing a full campaign. I have introduced many people to the game by proposing just an introductory session.

WizKids to Release Adult Blue Dragon Figure Based on Dragon Delves

Awesome! I do wonder what the actual sculpt will look like as a physical mini.

D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

I bought a physical set. I was planning on running a Spelljammer campaign, but after reading it through, I was do uninspired that I changed the campaign. It really lacked stuff for me to create a full campaign with. Planescape was a lot better.

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

Man, it really tires me out how people here have to keep voicing their opinion on supplements they haven't used or even read. It just derails every discussion and helps no-one except the people who apparently just want engagement. There is a lot of wisdom and experience on this forum, but a...

D&D 5E (2024) Man I hate the organization of the 2024 Monster Manual

Ah ok, that’s fine. Let me know if you do, I am curious what your experience is using it.

D&D General Todd Kenreck Let Go from WotC

Sure, but if using AI loses them more money than it saves, they might not do it anyway. It’s been 9 months since Chris Cocks spoke about AI, and so far we have not seen any changes to the products by WotC.

Planescape Adventure introducing the PCs to factions?

In my Planescape campaign, the youth of the factions once believed they could hash out the differences better than their elders, so they came together for a meet. Long story short, they decided to challenge each other for a pub crawl, where they went around the cage and had a drink in a bar...

D&D 5E (2024) Man I hate the organization of the 2024 Monster Manual

For me the answer is yes! Learning isn’t hard, especially when it comes to this.

D&D 5E (2024) Man I hate the organization of the 2024 Monster Manual

This is actually the first physical copy of a Monster Manual I ever bought, and I put it to the test as soon as I got it. It’s easy to find monsters if you are looking for them by name (like when using a published adventure), but a bit less intuitive to browse through. The real question is...
