D&D 5E (2014) Post Zariel's Redemption Avernus? What's happening as a lead up to Chains of Asmodeus?

So I ran a homebrew post-BGDiA campaign into the lower layers for a few years (we finished only a few months ago, and then this book comes out, FML). I gave Avernus back to Bel, (he had already made schemes to help the characters redeem her and take it back). I didn't have Zariel become an...

The 80-page card guide would have that?

    D&D General Adventure Titles

I'd be interested to see if we can come up with better titles for some of the adventures.

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

Ohhhhh I see. The little sample adventures. No, I haven't done any of those. Although I am running LoX right now and I plan to run ToFW

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

Well, yes, I have run Descent into Avernus all the way through, and Wild Beyond the Witchlight. Both were a blast, even though Avernus needed some reorganization. But I have also used other adventure books for set pieces. I hope to run Rime of the Frostmaiden all the way through some day, but...

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

I think both types of product are nice. My reasoning is "even if I don't like the full adventure, I can steal pieces." But I often do like the full adventure. I never run them exactly as written, but I often stick to the main plot. Even though I love homebrewing, sometimes I don't have the time...

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

Yeah. Even if I don't run an adventure all the way through, I steal characters, set pieces, plot hooks. They also often contain detailed setting information which supplements other atlas-like setting supplements. They are "show, not tell" books for settings.

D&D 5E (2014) Deck of Many Things Release Delayed

I got an email from Amazon saying the shipment would be delayed until January 2nd, 2024. Likely just a filler date.

    D&D 5E (2024) So what's with 2024 and beyond?

Some stirrings on the internet are suggesting that Perkins teased an adventure anthology based on the Infinite Staircase.

D&D 5E (2014) If WotC Did A New Setting Search

I think a non-European, non-racist setting would do well, like a real Wuxia setting, or something based on the indigenous mythologies of the Americas. I would create something unique, connected to my own heritage, like a magical Arabia but at the turn of the 20th century. It would eschew...

D&D 5E (2024) What creatures from existing sources besides MM, do you want to see updated for MM24?

I think they should go ahead and include the Chwinga, instead of reprinting its stat block in every other adventure. Also down for the Amphisbaena and Assassin Vine.

    D&D 5E (2014) my First Eberron campaign!

The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces can be about a Professor that has gone missing in Morgrave University, and was never seen leaving. They may have been trapped in their secret Mansion by a jealous rival. Likewise, the next adventure, Mazfroth's Mighty Digressions can begin in Morgrave and...

    D&D 5E (2014) my First Eberron campaign!

No Candlekeep Mysteries? There's some good ones in there that could fit well in Sharn.

D&D 5E (2014) Book of Many Things pre order up.

This deck will have 44 extra cards not included in any other OGL deck, right? So you can't actually get this deck anywhere else. The 80 page booklet and the source book will have references to cards you won't find elsewhere.

    D&D 5E (2014) Min-maxers: What's the best class and race for a Tier 1 investigative game?

Left field: Kenku, Githzerai, or Autognome for species. I feel like Inquisitive Rogue is unequaled in the Investigative game.

D&D 5E (2024) What would be the path between Wildshape Templates and Use an Beast statblock?

D&D 5E (2024) What would be the path between Wildshape Templates and Use an Beast statblock?

Here's a possible in-between: You get to pick 6 or 7 wildshapes as found in the PHB index (and no, nothing would need to be removed for an index--you just make the book bigger like they are doing with the MM), and their attack bonus, damage, and AC scale with level. Moon Druid can have special...
