    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Love Domain Adjustments

Good point. You could also link it to proficiency bonus (maybe 1/2 prof. bonus), or just make it a constant, or a number dependent on level.

D&D 5E (2014) removing cantrips: what to give instead?

I'd probably let Mage Hand last significantly longer also - 10 minutes, or even an hour seems ok. I was skimming and having "equal" right below "Evocation", I initially read "Equivocation". Now I want a School of Equivocation.

D&D 5E (2014) removing cantrips: what to give instead?

There's something about a twig being the most powerful item on the list that seems ... off. But it would also be pretty funny. OMG, watch out - he's putting down the reliquary and going for the TWIG.

D&D 5E (2014) removing cantrips: what to give instead?

Since I use spell points anyway, I've considered making cantrips cost 1 sp and bumping up the costs of leveled spells and the spell point pool appropriately. Next campaign, maybe.

D&D 5E (2014) removing cantrips: what to give instead?

I, on the other hand, am not that worried about damage-dealing per se. I just can't wrap my head around all the setting implications of any 1st level spell caster being able to do at-will magic that significantly impacts the environment. There are maybe 10% of the 5e cantrips that seem...

    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Love Domain Adjustments

There are certainly good candidates. I've not heard a particularly compelling argument for why Sorcerers are CHA, and I'd have no trouble with Paladins going to WIS.

    D&D 5E (2014) Cleric Love Domain Adjustments

    You're right flavor-wise, but game-wise we really don't need more CHA-based casters.

On Magic Users and Darts: What's Up With That?

It is hard to remember, but I think we might have neglected the 1e weapon proficiency rules. (We certainly abided by the class restrictions on weapon type, but may have ignored the proficiency stuff.) And since I just happen to have some 40-year-old 1e character sheets* right here about 5 ft...

D&D as humanocetric ... or not?

It's unclear to me what you mean by "pull something"; that's pretty vague phrase. I don't see how what @doctorbadwolf is suggesting differs from playing a PC with flaws or other personality traits connected to their background/backstory. How can you tell if a player is "pulling something"...

D&D as humanocetric ... or not?

I picked #4 because that's what I did for my current campaign. In the future, I think it's most likely I would do something between #6 and #7: 6.5: Any choice from a limited selection of curated races. Other races are possible, but DM approval is required, and you'll probably need to help with...
