    D&D 5E (2014) Epic Monsters: Odin

Certainly. There was a god who was banished to the other side of the heavens, since he flipped out and killed someone for creating food from their butt. There were two goddess complaining about secondhand smoke, so they took their complaints to another god. He got annoyed, chopped their heads...

    D&D 5E (2014) Epic Monsters: Odin

We're having a conversation about the alignment of gods, which usually requires examining their actions.

Those are real myths. I did not make them up.

D&D General What's your favorite starter sandbox region?

That's Hillsfar, on the other side of the Moonsea. Zhentil Keep and Yulash are not exactly friendly to demihumans either, but that makes a great plot hook for characters to reform those cities. Assuming they want that topic in the game at all.

D&D General What's your favorite starter sandbox region?

Phlan from Pool of Radiance. I dont run sandbox that often, but when I do they get immediate D&D goodness with the Slums, Sokol Keep, the auction, the library, the graveyard, pyramid island, the kobold cave, and eventually Tyranthraxus himself. Its just an amazing sandbox.

    D&D 5E (2014) Epic Monsters: Odin

He was certainly prone to doing some deeply shady things, both by our standards and those of his own people. But that's how you roll when you're a God. At least he didn't use his phallus as a bridge over a river, go soft, and drown everyone crossing over it. Or crawl up an elephant's butt in...

    D&D 5E (2014) Epic Monsters: Odin

No maybe about it; Loki has no direct relation to Thor. Otherwise I love it!

D&D 5E (2014) How do you roll, DM?

This. Rolling in the open for dramatic moments has a massive emotional payoff for my players, since I normally hide my rolls. I often reveal it when a monster rolls a Natural 1 as well. Mostly so they can see the monster is having a bad day. :P

D&D 5E (2014) As a DM, what monster abilities do you find difficult to run?

The biggest problem is that characters are dumb. Not the player, but the characters. We only have a limited amount of time to play the game, and need to keep things flowing. That means a huge amount of intellectual power and information gathering cannot be applied, and even when it can, the...

D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force Question; Can it cut through Stone?

You don't have Line Of Effect to things behind full cover, so you cannot make Wall of Force appear inside a solid substance in the first place. So no cutting stone. However, if you manage to make something fall onto a Wall of Force, you could definitely fluff the fall damage as being cut.

D&D 5E (2014) Lawful Evil character - follow up advice needed! Spoiler for Kingmaker

First chapter is bandit lord. Second chapter is kobolds and trolls. Third chapter is goblins and bloom. At least, I think so. I can't remember exactly.

D&D 5E (2014) Lawful Evil character - follow up advice needed! Spoiler for Kingmaker

I can't remember the exact chapters, but the OP is about early 2-3. I made a slight reference to a future chapter, but it's just monster type.

    D&D 5E (2014) Mind Flayer Alternates

One of the coolest variant mindflayers I've ever used could create illusions instead of Mind Blast. It used these to become the image of loved ones and friends, and try to get close enough to grapple and slurp out your brain. Imagine coming home and finding your spouse standing at the door...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dark Sun doesn't actually need Psionics

I think this is a great solution. Everyone gets their weird fiction, without a dedicated psionics system or classes. Granted, I have nothing against Psionic Classes existing in a general sense, and perhaps Dark Sun is as good a place as any to put them. But if something has to be cut, I would...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dark Sun doesn't actually need Psionics

Both buttons produce $1,000. Even in the novels, Psionics was never really important to the setting. There were characters who were powerful with Psionics, and the gameline expected people to know about Psionics, but it has no narrative importance. It's just a thing people have. It was never...

    D&D 5E (2014) One Punche Man Build. New Tasha's

He wouldn't lose much, since he can infinitely twin necro cantrips, and twin many 1-5th level spells every single day. But if you're looking to specifically emulate Saitama, then your build does a pretty good job! I like the idea of Feinting Attack being "He looks like he's completely open" or...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dark Sun doesn't actually need Psionics

Dark Sun comes from a time when post apocalyptic stories often involved hideous mutants with strange mental powers. Stories like Dune, The Time Machine, The Stand, Captive Women, I Am Legend, and many more. Even Doctor Who and Twilight Zone had a few episodes throw around the mental powered...

    D&D 5E (2014) One Punche Man Build. New Tasha's

6-8 encounters a day. So it's more like nibbling on resources so the last few / big fight is challenging. The first couple are not supposed to be challenging at all, because you have lots of resources. Its just to make you spend some. If a creature makes you spend your One Punch, it has done...

    D&D 5E (2014) One Punche Man Build. New Tasha's

Pound for pound, I would rather just play a Death Domain Cleric. Inflict + Touch of Death is 33, and eventually ignores resistance and twin casts for free.
