    D&D 5E (2014) Giving Fighters nice things...

My biggest issues are with the hit die changes and the alterations on extra attack. I don't know how experienced the people who are posting are with playing the fighter but the fighter isn't a weak class. The fighter should have less health than the barbarian. You giving the fighter d12 hit dice...

    D&D 5E (2014) Giving Fighters nice things...

If you don't care about game balance, sure add the changes. That is part of the beauty of 5e, the edition encourages alterations and home rulings. With that being said, the changes you are making are definitely unbalanced.

    D&D 5E (2014) Street Fighter D&D

Huge Street Fighter fan. Thank you for doing this. I would love to see Dictator (M. Bison).

D&D 5E (2014) When Fiends Attack: Are Balors, Pit Fiends and Ultraloths too weak?

I think it is a problem when mid tier characters can stomp high level demons. It trivializes the narrative, and it downgrades the world's credibility. If we are able to kill these terrors from time immemorial and foil there 1000 year old plans in an afternoon, how are any monsters any threat at...

D&D 5E (2014) When Fiends Attack: Are Balors, Pit Fiends and Ultraloths too weak?

Conceptually, the up and coming adventuring party abruptly killing a 10,000 year old fiend who is supposed to be great and terrible is really underwhelming. It definitely messes with my suspension of disbelief.

    D&D 5E (2014) Balor vs Pit Fiend

Sure, on the surface. They are both fiends, fire and brimstone, and all that. But that is really it, its kind of like saying that a barbarian and a wizard are interchangebale because they are both human.

    D&D 5E (2014) Balor vs Pit Fiend

It depends. The Pit Fiend has greater action economy but both the balor and the pit fiend are immune to fire and poison. In a straight up fight the the pit fiend still has more attacks and thus does more damage. But with that being said, what you could do with the balor is have it drop the flame...

    D&D 5E (2014) actual encounter [high-level play]

It's funny that you say that, because this version of the Molydeus is somewhat similar to the Nalfeshnee as far as CR goes, hold monster makes them more difficult to deal with though. With that in mind I treated the encounter as if it was 9 Nalfeshnees and a CR 14 variant. It's a deadly...

    D&D 5E (2014) actual encounter [high-level play]

I don't know how familiar you are with demons (tan'ari) but the Molydeus is supposed to be a greater demon and historically has been on par or somewhat weaker than a balor. I have some suggested changes to the demon that you don't have to follow but, I feel they are relevant so I'm posting them...

D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force Reality Check (as used by DM not players)

I think he is making light of the ridiculousness associated with not being able to target something at range that you can clearly see. Wall of Force should be a seventh or eighth level spell if used as many in this thread rule. I think I'm going to create a sorcerer that wears a full body...

D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force Reality Check (as used by DM not players)

Create Bonfire Conjuration cantrip Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute You create a bonfire on ground that you can see within range. Until the spells ends, the bonfire fills a 5-foot radius. Any creature in the bonfire’s space...

D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force Reality Check (as used by DM not players)

Are people forgetting that the wall of force is invisible? And also, this is the definition of total cover. A target with total cover can't be targeted directly by an attack or a spell, although some spells can reach such a target by including it in an area of effect. A target has total cover...

D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force Reality Check (as used by DM not players)

So, I don't agree that Wall of Force can be moved, it clearly isn't intended to be. But, as you said it's your game you can implement whatever rules you want. With that being said, people overlook the fact that Wall of Force does nothing to stop spells that have a point of origin inside the Wall...

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Way of 4 Elements Passive abilities, thoughts?

I think I do indeed have a different one. Didn't realize there was more than one remastered version circulating. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1pdYIcfHauwNDM2My1XeWFYSDA/view This is what I'm looking at.

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Way of 4 Elements Passive abilities, thoughts?

I was referring to the altered version of Way of the 4 Elements that I linked in this thread. That might be where some of this confusion is. In my opinion the PHB version of Way of the 4 Elements has a lot more problems than the ones you listed.

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Way of 4 Elements Passive abilities, thoughts?

I am currently playing an air genasi monk. I'm currently level 3 but I've play tested this subclass before. Fists of Unbroken Air may seem kind of broken but making your unarmed attacks ranged will give you disadvantage if your opponent/target is within 5 feet of you. Spending a ki point to...

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Way of 4 Elements Passive abilities, thoughts?

Hey man, if you're looking to increase the abilities of the Way of the 4 Elements subclass there is an excellent homebrew for the class which was worked on collectively by members of the D&D reddit community. Personally, I feel as though Way of the 4 Elements is really sub-par compared to the...

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

Monk is my favorite class, but this was my least favorite UA. I like the idea of a kensei but I feel like it's missing that quintessential lvl 17 monk ability. Way of tranquility was pretty bland except for the level 17 ability which is amazing. I'm imagining Toki from Fist of the Northstar as a...
