    D&D 5E (2014) How fantastic are natural 1's?

Wow that sounds like a horrible item. It’s literally a “add crappy damage type to weapon with a 5% chance for it to EXPLODE every time you use it!” I would literally sell it. If I can’t sell it I’d throw it in the trash.

D&D 5E (2014) How Do You Feel About The Pact of The Talisman?

It makes an interesting multiclass with bard. You’d theoretically be better on average in your UNTRAINED ability checks than most actual skills

D&D 5E (2014) A brief rant about Rime of the Frost Maiden, farming, logistics, and ecology

Yeah who gives a damn about consistency and quality in a product I’m spending my hard earned money on 🙄

    D&D 5E (2014) Bad Sage Advice?

if that was actually the case he’s a terrible developer. The point of development of a game is to make it run well. throwing stupid rules into the mix on purpose is literally the opposite of that

D&D General What do do when a setting doesn't have magic?

Play in a system better suited for it.

D&D 5E (2014) New class options in Tasha

Good. I like these a lot more than the racial “versatility”. this one actually allows variety among PCs, vs paying lip service.

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

theres a difference between judging how a particular group plays the game and judging a company making decisions for the game itself. im fine (even if I disagree with) the former. I’m more harsh on the latter. see above. depending on how it was done I’d be more comfortable with that too...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

hint: when someone creates a half assed rule variant to at best superficially create inclusivity while not actually doing so, that’s pandering. yeah cause god forbid that someone be forced to not start with a 17-20 starting out no matter what race or class they want. 🙄. Maybe if the player...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

so? If you want to play a concept, sometimes you gotta do that. If you can’t play a level 1-4 caster with a 15 in your stat, despite just NEEDING to play that race... well I guess you really don’t actually wanna do it. you wanna do it? You can’t go above 15 until your first asi? Well get over...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

it totally is pandering. When this was first announced it was to help “remove harmful stereotypes” and promote inclusivity. this does neither. It just waters down racial strengths and weaknesses and removes the fact that sometimes you sometimes have to make a choice that’s not optimal when you...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

yeah cause god forbid a player has to make a choice that isn’t optimal to play a concept. Seriously, this isn’t inclusivity. This is badly balanced pandering that does little but water down any sort of uniqueness for a race. fun fact: you can have a fantasy race that is inherently stronger or...

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

D&D 5E (2014) A First Look at Tasha’s Lineage System In AL Player’s Guide - Customizing Your Origin In D&D

Yeah this options gonna be a hard pass for me in game’s I run. Dilutes making racial choices, makes half elves even more if a no brainer, and now adds mountain dwarf to that level. no thanks .

    D&D 5E (2014) Full feat or half-feat?

First one I wouldn’t make a feat as it’s too weak. second one, I would make a feat, just because they already did that with UA fighting styles.

    D&D 5E (2014) Precision Attack + SS + CBE is like +2d6 sword

They’re spending two out of at MOST seven (maybe eight) non recoverable resources that are also used to raise your stats (including primary). I see nothing wrong with that kind of investment (which also lowers your attack by 5 to implement) being as powerful damage wise as a second tier (rare)...
