Oh if that's the case then yeah Saving Throws... But if they meant go back to defender rolls a save then I'm not in favor. It just feels more unified/quicker at the table when the attacker always rolls.

I think keeping saving throws would be a mistake. 4e style attacker always rolls to hit works really well.

If I remember correctly Mike Mearls at one point indicated he would like to have a base set of rules that would almost never update (kind of like Magic) and "new editions" would be the higher level stuff. Which is a bit different then saying that's what we have.

I think I should re-state. 3e monsters took forever to stat up but got killed really quickly, not that the actual at table combat didn't take forver. I DID just for different reasons. 4e monsters are quick to stat up but can grind on way too long. What I want is 4e monster birthing quickness...

You can obviously game without it, but I would hazzard a guess that the majority of 4e players use it in some form.

I think it's the accountability thing. I have no doubt that half the people making the horrible comments that make you just want to curl up and burn out your eyes wouldn't say the same things in person, or if everyone knew who they were for real.

They do need to go to a different electronic format then just on their website. A version for Kindle and Nook would be a great thing I think. It might very well be a binary decision depending on the costs involved.
