D&D General 50th Anniversary WotC live panel at PAX Unplugged 2023.

Definitely excited to see the revised DMG.

D&D General D&D Making Of Book Coming June 2024

It would definitely be cool if they did it that way. Also having all the "behind the scenes" info would be awesome.

D&D General Dungeons of Drakkenheim & Lairs of Etharis: WotC Adds Third Party Products To D&D Beyond

I wouldn't mind if they released the old books again like they did in the between times (between 4e and 5e). I wasn't able to purchase those at the time and remember thinking they looked nice.
  4. MockingBird

    D&D 5E (2014) Vecna: Eve of Ruin Coming 2024

I wonder if Vecna recovered his hand from Arkhan the Cruel? The last we saw of Arkhan was in the BG adventure path.

D&D General D&D Making Of Book Coming June 2024

That's a good point. I didn't even consider later editions size of content. You are very correct it wouldn't be realistic.
  6. MockingBird

D&D General D&D Making Of Book Coming June 2024

I wonder if this is how they will reprint past editions of rules. Each book a making of that particular edition. That would be cool.

WotC D&D at PAX Unplugged Next Week

Wish they would have given an old school look. I don't hate the new design and I guess it shows him more of a lich on the verge of godhood.
  8. MockingBird

WotC D&D at PAX Unplugged Next Week

    Is that Vecna?

D&D 3.x Ben Riggs shares Sunless Citadel sales numbers

Now I kinda wish Tales from the Yawning Portal had more than the two 3.0 adventures we got. Sunless Citadel was a blast to run and play.
  10. MockingBird

D&D 5E (2024) The Cleric should be retired

I felt that Thoros of Myr was a good look at a D&D style cleric. It's a shame we don't get more screen time from him.
  11. MockingBird

D&D General Ben Riggs Shares 2001 D&D 3.0 Core Book Sales.

I've been gentle with all my books through the years but my 2e PHB has seen better days.

D&D Movie/TV Check Out These Previews Of Hasbro's New D&D 'FAST' Channel

I'm not sure about that but over the past 6 or so months it seems he pivoted somewhat from D&D the game to sensational D&D is doomed type videos. Ive noticed several D&D YouTubers I generally liked watching do this.
  13. MockingBird

D&D General "I have Played in or Run a Campaign Set in the Forgotten Realms" (a poll)

I run my games in FR but it's kinda mine own version. None of my players keep up with what has happened so I can change it however I need to. One day I'll jump to my own home brew world.
  14. MockingBird

D&D General What did D&D teach you?

I guess I can say it taught me how to lead and manage. Being the forever DM responsible for organizing and managing a bunch of kids.
  15. MockingBird

D&D General Ben Riggs Shares 2001 D&D 3.0 Core Book Sales.

4e Essentials felt more like an attempt to do some sort of course correction. 3.5 can be perceived as a cash grab. The total rules update for 3.0 could have been done slowly over the life of the edition I would think. 3e seem like it had legs.

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

Yeah I gotta say I cringe every time I hear 5e called "the apologie edition". Or how Crit Roll or some TV shoes saved 5e even though those shows either used 4e or earlier game materials. 5e isn't good enough to stand on its own. Though...

D&D 5E (2014) Amazon US book sales rank.

Not Amazon related (definitely better prices on Amazon) but Books A Million has a deal going on "Buy 1 WotC RPG book get 1 50% off. I just picked up a couple books I missed getting.
  18. MockingBird

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

Damage on a miss from blast type spells I can get behind. It loses me with a weapon attack though.
