One thing to keep in mind here. People who love to play video games doesn't mean they will love to play TTRPGs. I have several friends who love CRPGs and video games but flat out refuse to try a TTRPG. I know that's anecdotal but I wouldn't count it out entirely.

I agree with you but that's just my "tastes". I know there are many who will disagree with this view. I'm not here to say it's right or wrong. This is how I like to see my "fantasy world" it helps me suspend my disbelief.

I loved Murder in Baldurs Gate. It was a great read. My own failings as a DM ruined that adventure when I tried to run it. Well, I won't say it was ruined. I'm just not good at running city adventures or intrigue.

We will probably get, hopefully, better instructions on encounter building. That may be the extent of anything monster related in the UAs.
