D&D General Correspondence with David Trampier and A History of His 1985 Attempt to Crowdfund a Wormy Anthology

IIRC in the last printed Dragon Mag they did some articles looking back at the history of D&D and Dragon Mag and Trampier just one day decided to cut all ties to the industry and "vanish". A fan must have tracked him down some years later but he was told that he had closed with this chapter of...

D&D General What Happens if a Cleric/Warlock/etc PC Gravely Offends Their Supernatural Patron?

Clerics should stop receiving new powers. Warlocks would find themselves being confronted by other agents of their patron

WotC WotC Has A New President

Actually they recovered pretty well from that and the 2D VTT they put out at the end of 4e was very good. I played a few sessions of LFR on it. Unfortunately it never got out of BETA and was axed when together with 4e

The Legend of Vox Machina (Spoilers)

Watched episode one and it remindet me why I stopped watching them during their first campaing. I am just not a big fan of the first group of characters. My memory of the stream is hazy but I remember finding them particularily bloodthirsty and cruel. Seeing how in episode one they immediately...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

In the history of modern medicine we managed to kill a grand total of 2 1 viruses. And not for lack of trying vs. others. Covid may become the third second, but the chances are very very slim. Edit: and the "killed" virus is actually still preserved in two high security labs (officially only 2...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

No real changes honestly. Live with whatever is required in public and continue to do what we please in private (even if beyond official covid rules and regulations). Office 5 days a week. Shopping 3-4 times a week (have so much stores along the way to work, I've just never been a "one big haul...

    D&D and the rising pandemic

UK and Denmark are going to drop all meassures despite still having high infection rates. UK seemingly missing the opportunity to call it "Freedom Day 2.0", a shame ;)

D&D General What Would Happen if Fiends Came to Fill the "Low CR Monsters" Niche?

What you describe here is certainly one thing that would be bound to happen. I don't think that it would lead to the negative view though. My main concern is about "suspension of disbelieve" and getting "too fantastic". Fighting the extraplanar as run off the mill mooks from 1st level just...

D&D General I really LOVE Stomping Goblins

In Germany 1. not even an option 2. possible if I could have snaped and thrown it fast enough and it should have been obvious to me 3. allowed, but not required and not punishable if I chose to not attempt this

Only if there was a reasonable option that would have not put myself into risk. Pulling the switch is not even an option according to German law and if there's no other obvious option that would not have put me in harms way and that I should have seen but chose to ignore I am legally fine.

D&D General I really LOVE Stomping Goblins

I would like to pull the switch to save the many, but I would just chose to do nothing since anything else would make me legally liable

A lot get's glances over due to generally unrealistic "hollywood durability". Take this scene Yeah, he doesn't "kill" anybody, because he's not biting the head off of the last one. Sure, none of those poor humans that were thrown 10+ meters in the air and against stone walls and hit with force...

Wasn't that the gist of the "complaint"? Players just kill, because knocking out isn't easier than a full blown fight. Yet if it were easier, than players would always try to avoid fights by using the easier knockout rule and then kill the enemy while they're down

It is forced to do, otherwise players would knock out the enemy and then kill them afterwards

Matter of taste. There are a lot of creamy liqueurs that go well on ice cream. Just yesterday I had vanilla icecream with Crema di Limoncello. Do you guys have Baileys in the US? It's very popular here with ice cream or in hot chocolate and whipped cream topping haven't heard of ice cream...

Also Far Cry. The 4th iirc. It also starts with you as the "mighty whity" arriving im some faux Tibetian country run by a brutal dictator. You end up joining the rebels and slaughter the dictator's soldier. Late game you have the choice to a) betray them and join the dictator b) Stick with...

D&D General I really LOVE Stomping Goblins

I am currently once again playing Civ 5. I am a mass murdering religious tyrant like the world has never seen. Best not think what happens when I send an inquisitor to a freshly conquered City and with one click the previous religion just vanishes. Well, the population doesn't drop, so I guess...

Critical Role Critical Role show kickstarter update: Backers have to get Amazon prime to get the show

Different question: Is this going to be released world wide? I tried to google whether it will be available on Prime Germany at the same time as on Prime US, but I couldn't find a clear answer. Does anybody kow?
