D&D 5E (2014) Rise Of The Drow is Three Good D&D Books In One

This is part of that Aventyr setting of theirs, right? I remember for Pathfinder, and 5e (I think?), they put out this amazing adventure book that detailed a town and involved tracking down a kidnapped princess. And like every business & NPC in the town was a reference to some sort of fairy...

    D&D 5E (2014) EN5ider #412 - Diabolical Diseases

I actually kind of wonder if magical means of healing may sort of hold back surgical and anatomical knowledge due to less of a need to cut open the body. Also, all those diseases sound horrifying. :( :D

    D&D 5E (2014) EN5ider #412 - Diabolical Diseases

Speaking of diseases, in a world of magic I sometimes wonder how advanced surgery is thanks to various magical means to cure or mitigate somewhat various diseases and conditions.

What do you like about it? Do you also own that evil city book with it?

How were Corpus Malicious & Angelus? Has anyone tried either out (at least the 2019 versions)?

D&D 5E (2014) New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

This is what I imagine. Like there are levels of dickishness or nastiness. I would frankly classify most average drow as pumped full of propaganda, but the nobility and power shakers are just pure nasty. Though honestly, most drow foes in the novels seem to be nobles and such.

D&D 5E (2014) New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

Isn't it primarily that the nobles among the Ur-Drow(?) are evil and naughty words, along with the priesthood of Lolth, while the average citizen is mostly just probably dickish or whatever but not full on baby eating like the leaders often are? I mean honestly, the culture of the Lolthian drow is...

D&D General WotC: Novels & Non-5E Lore Are Officially Not Canon

Sometimes yes, because it adds in a lived-in feeling in a world, or it provides possibilities for a player if they know littke things like that.

D&D General RA Salvatore Wants To Correct Drizzt’s Racist Tropes

Because I'm tired of people saying stuff like "the drow wear bikini armor" and pull out an image created 30-50 years ago instead of a modern 2010-2021 image of them, for example. Like why can't they use a modern image if they're so still full of bikini armor?

D&D General RA Salvatore Wants To Correct Drizzt’s Racist Tropes

What bikini armor? Seriously, I see more drow bikini armor in erotic fan art than in any official products I've looked at. And please, don't whip out artwork from the 1980s to support an argument. I want some artwork from now at least to support it. The drow aren't "people of color." The...

D&D General RA Salvatore Wants To Correct Drizzt’s Racist Tropes

Is it the cover where he looks like an old man? Also, thinking on pale dark elves being evil, does that potentially then mess with albinos, if we keep the white hair?

D&D General RA Salvatore Wants To Correct Drizzt’s Racist Tropes

I think your argument would hold more weight if this image wasn't from the 1980s but was from the 2010s. And wasn't that literally one cover out of how many others that instead use "Caucasian" features for the drow? ...In no way do the drow of all people in Forgotten Realms depict any...

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC: 5 D&D Settings In Development?

Yes. But it doesn't have a full on logo yet, like say Forgotten Realms. :(

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC: 5 D&D Settings In Development?

Is the Critical Role setting still without a sort of main setting moniker? Like how Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun, The Lost Lands, etc all have overall names for their entire settings. You know what I mean, a sort of general name for the whole setting overall.

    D&D 5E (2014) Cubicle 7 Announces Victoriana for 5E

Sovereign Stone had the orcs be badass sailors, the horsed dwarves as Mongol-style raiders, the unhorsed dwarves as surface-living dwarves (good at blacksmithing and typical fantasy dwarf stuff), the elves as the Japanese analogue (tons of intrigue between noble houses while they wield katanas...

    D&D 5E (2014) Cubicle 7 Announces Victoriana for 5E

Having looked through Castle Falkenstein stuff, which this reminds me of, how integrated are the fantasy races in Victoriana? Are they like hiding in the shadows or do they interact openly within society?

RPG Crowdfunding News – Dungeons of Drakkenheim, DCC Dying Earth, CoC Classic, and more

Honestly, I wonder more about what happens when a KS blows past all its stretch goals, and still keeps on getting money. Like what does the extra money past the last stretch goal get used for generally?

RPG Crowdfunding News – Dungeons of Drakkenheim, DCC Dying Earth, CoC Classic, and more

In what particular ways? An eldritch meteor smashing into a city/town and creating an area of corruption and horror was hardly unique to Games Workshop prior to this.

D&D General Shadows of Mystara - References

IIRC it's supposed to be an undead shadow dragon in the game as well, they had to make it red just to show up better due to it being well an arcade game.
