D&D 5E (2014) My guess for the other D&D book this year... Draconomicon!

I strongly disagree with this statement, as I feel half of what they’ve put out has been based on nostalgia. Most adventures are at least based off of past adventures and all D&D 5e lore is from prior editions. I agree that the next book will be a general dragon book, but I still have hope...

D&D 5E (2014) Here Is The Full & Alternate Cover Art Of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight

Has anyone pointed out the similarities between the cover and the poster for the old Something Wicked This Way Comes movie?

D&D 5E (2014) Two New D&D Books Revealed: Feywild & Strixhaven Mage School

Why does it look like there's a crease down the middle. At any rate, I'm going to take the dragon as confirmation that Dragonlance is coming this summer. And that's definitely Crystalmir Lake. Nothing will change my mind. ;)

D&D 5E (2014) Two New D&D Books Revealed: Feywild & Strixhaven Mage School

Almost every past adventure cover evokes the overall theme of the adventure and more often than not, shows the main villain. I guess we'll see with this one, but it seems to indicate that the circus will play a major role in the overall adventure and may even suggest a jester or clown as a...

D&D 5E (2014) Two New D&D Books Revealed: Feywild & Strixhaven Mage School

I’m going to have to join the chorus in expressing my disappointment in the cover of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, if that actually is the cover. I want my journey into the Feywild to include tropes like Fairy Queens and corrupted pixies, redcaps and beastlords and wild hunts, not the circus...

Owen Stephens Continues 'Real Game Industry' Posts

My guess is they are more critic that creator. I just wish they could even write quality criticism. They pontificate with no evidence and barely a point.

D&D 5E (2014) New D&D Hardcover To Be Announced On The 23rd (Tomorrow)?

Based on this and the Unearthed Arcana, it seems safe to say Ravenloft.

D&D 5E (2014) New D&D Hardcover To Be Announced On The 23rd (Tomorrow)?

It seems strange that they’d be announcing tomorrow. The last book had press releases, a mention on DNDBeyond, and other notices that they were announcing a book, not just a page on Amazon. In other words, there was a lot more fanfare. At any rate, I’m gonna say Dragonlance, because if I...

Worlds of Design: Game Design Rules of Thumb - Part 1

I think this might be the most important rule. This was one of the issues with 4e. I actually happened to like 4e, but I think they ignored their audience, who didn't want that kind of overhaul of their game. It will be interesting to see the direction of D&D going forward as a younger...

Savage Pathfinder Pathfinder for Savage Worlds Is Live!

While I’m curious about this project, $300 to get both the game and AP is a bit rich for my blood (and I’d rather not do digital). I wish then all success though. And by the looks of it, they’re already succeeding and then some!

D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

And now we have a description on Amazon... Candlekeep attracts scholars like a flame attracts moths. Historians, sages, and others who crave knowledge flock to this library fortress to peruse its vast collection of books, scribbled into which are the answers to the mysteries that bedevil them...

D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

I would normally agree with this, but I’m not sure mysteries are good ones for new players. I would normally go with something a little more straightforward.

D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

I don't play MtG, but I actually like the MtG settings they've come out with.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

I seem to remember someone calling it for Candlekeep. I can’t remember if it was this thread or another. At any rate, good job, whoever it was! I guess I’ll wait for a Dragonlance setting in the second quarter!

D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

I have to admit, I’m a bit disappointed by this. I feel like I have enough adventures to last a lifetime. But maybe previews will get me excited, and maybe I could use some of the adventures in my Eberron game that takes place in Sharn. Edit: Also, cool cover.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

As a Dragonlance fan, I would actually be disappointed in this. I like the story and the first module, but find after that it gets too railroady, and I don't like that the adventure party splits into two storylines. However, I would love to see a setting sourcebook.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

I feel certain that it will be a settings book. I feel almost certain it will be Dragonlance, but it could be a Forgotten Realm expansion, or Planescape, or Dark Sun. Or maybe another M:tG crossover.
