Of all the dangling threads this season, what I find most annoying is bringing back Susan for some very brief scenes that may have been entirely in the Doctor's mind and then not following up on that. Bringing her in for such a brief, meaningless cameo feels worse than not ever seeing her again...

She always was, ever since Poppy first existed. And even after Poppy disappeared, once Ruby convinced Belinda and the Doctor that she existed Belinda wanted to get her back too. If anyone has cause to complain it's the mysterious Ritchie who is now a father, but even that wasn't the Doctor's...

That one's already got a Rose, the genuine article. I'm not sure adding a Doctor Rose to the mix would help in any way. Captain Jack, on the other hand, would be overjoyed to meet her.

I played Elite Dangerous for the longest time after it came out, but stopped maybe a year after Horizons came out. It was a great game, but the unbalanced PvP and lack of an official multiplayer PvE mode killed it for me. Not sure how those aspects have developed since then.

Yeah, I saw it last night and enjoyed it well enough. Surprisingly closer to being an Incredible Hulk sequel than a Captain America sequel. The only thing that bothers me about Sam's journey is that I've never felt like Captain America needed to be some kind of inherited mantle to be passed on...

That's a perennial problem with both alternate universe and alternate timeline stories. Realistically, something as complex as DNA combinations, not to mention relationships and timing of 'encounters', would be so subject to the butterfly effect that nobody conceived after the diverging event...

Me neither, it was jarring seeing it in the thread title because I've never seen it elsewhere.

A neat approach would be assessing worlds for Federation membership and finding that, while in some respects the prospective members need to do some work in order to measure up, in others it's the Federation that needs to work to measure up to being worth joining.

How'd you solve the icing problem?

Just saying, it's more of an "is" than a "would be". Certainly still some ground to explore there, just the actual qualification process is already done.
