D&D General Cthulhu by Torchlight Brings Mythos To D&D

Didn't Sandy Peterson also get into trouble with saying racist and transphobic stuff on Twitter?

D&D General Mike Mearls' blog post about RPG generations

Didn't Mike Mearls retaliate against Zak Smith's accusers? Honestly, if that's the case, then I wouldn't take the advice from someone who did that.

Forgotten Realms Books to Have Several Digital DLCs, Including One Featuring Asterion

So it's an adventure/monster pack? That doesn't seem to be different from the Monstrous Compendium and a few other D&DBeyond-exclusive packs from a few years ago.

That might have some weird anachronisms.

So that's what's releasing in October. That's good to know!

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Delayed Until December

$30 for physical, $20 for digital, barring taxes. About $40 for the bundle (including digital maps and dice), also barring taxes.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Delayed Until December

Delaying the physical release but not the digital release would only make things worse for stores that sell physical copies.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Delayed Until December

I am bummed out but I completely understand. I was planning on continuing my Eberron campaign with the 2024 rules for my stream. I'll have to come up with a short campaign in the meantime. It's astounding how so many people didn't take the news of them ensuring that local gaming stores aren't...

Monty of Dungeon Dudes infuriated at publishers writing own licenses instead of CC – WOTC most permissive

With TTRPG adaptations like Star Wars, Fallout, Marvel, and maybe Cthulhu, I can understand, but the rest? Monty's on point, methinks.

D&D General Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford Join Darrington Press

If this post by the official D&D account on Bluesky and other sites is of any indication, it's much more amicable compared to Paizo.

D&D General Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford Join Darrington Press

I was half-asleep when I read that, and it shocked me into waking up. Anyway, I'm not sure Daggerheart will dethrone D&D, but I can see it taking up Pathfinder's spot. Compared to Pathfinder, Daggerheart is mechanically distinct and is setting neutral. Plus, it'll be more recognizable thanks to...

D&D 5E (2024) You Can Now Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

I have a player, who's a warforged artificer, in my Eberron game who wears a leather longcoat over a suit of half-plate.

D&D 5E (2024) You Can Now Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

Here's stuff from one of the artists on Battlefield 1. So yes, there is heavy bulky plate armor like that around the 1920s. It's not used as much, but it's there. Also, Keith Baker has made blog posts detailing Eberron fashion, and how people could wear heavy armor that doesn't look like...

D&D 5E (2024) You Can Now Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

You all realize you're making some big assumptions based on how little we know, right?

D&D 5E (2024) You Can Now Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

It also helps that, after Eberron came out in 2004, other settings became more and more dungeonpunk, so Eberron would probably have to distinguish itself even further, if the early artwork's accurate.
