Dungeons & Dragons Announces Horror Subclasses Unearthed Arcana

An Artificer subclass? That is unexpected.

D&D 5E (2014) Which was the most recent Wizards adventure you consider a classic?

Curse of Strahd and the Lost Mines of Phandelver come to mind. I know people that are running (and I'm in one of these campaigns) or planning to run the former; the latter has received awards and a revision/expansion.

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Unveils Dragon Delves' Eclectic Art Styles

The one with the black dragon is giving me Divine Comedy vibes.

    D&D 5E (2024) Have You Pre-Ordered The 2024 MM?

I pre-ordered it as part of the core rulebook bundle. I got it for the discount and early access, but the dragon art book is a nice touch.

    D&D 5E (2024) Polygon takes shots at WotC & D&D

I would quote this part right here. "While we don’t really know how that’s affected the head count at Wizards, it’s clear from the 2025 schedule that the pace of releases is off. There just aren’t as many books coming out this year as I was expecting."

    D&D 5E (2024) Polygon takes shots at WotC & D&D

That is still more than one release in the year. Tiamat books between corebooks aside, it took four months for another to be released. The 2014 DMG was released December of 2014. Princes of the Apocalypse was released in April of 2015.

    D&D 5E (2024) Polygon takes shots at WotC & D&D

That opinion article has gotten a lot wrong. One D&D's a name for the playtest phase. The OGL debacle has been resolved with a lot of people happy. Also, nothing after the Monster Manual this year? Really? We get two Forgotten Realms books, a dragon adventure anthology, and a remake of Keep on...

They didn't. In fact, they improved it.

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

Alright, I've looked at the bedroll and blanket. It doesn't say it benefits from a long rest. The bedroll automatically has you succeed on saving throws against extreme cold while the blanket grants you advantage on that. So they're still useful in the limited time Magical Tinkering allows...

Added a bit more. Always room for improvement, no?

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

Made some additional suggestions. I plan on taking this to the feedback survey next week.

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

Overall, I would say the Artificer in UA is going in a pretty good direction. That doesn't mean that there isn't room for improvement. On top of my head, I would love to see the following changes after UA: More Replicate Magical Item plans known (up to 12). Good idea with Magical Tinkering...

Here, this might help. Someone pointed out how unlikely it is for Elon to buy Hasbro.
